YouTube Premium and Music Premium non-recurring prepaid plans launched in India

YouTube launched its YouTube Music Premium streaming service along with YouTube Premium service earlier this year starting at Rs. 99/month and Rs. 129/month respectively with billing recurring monthly. Today, YouTube has introduced new non-recurring prepaid plans for India where users can pay upfront for the subscription and top up anytime. YouTube Music Premium 'Prepaid Plan' is priced at Rs. 109 for 1-month and Rs. 309 for 3-months. However, under the 'Subscription Plan', it costs Rs. 99/month with 1 month free trial for new users. Similarly, YouTube Premium 'Prepaid Plan' is priced at Rs. 139 for 1-month and Rs. 399 for 3-months. Under the 'Subscription Plan', it costs Rs. 129/month with 1 month free trial for new users. Pre-paid plans are currently available on Android and Web. With prepaid plans, users can pay upfront for either the 1-month plan or a 3-month plan and top up anytime i.e., users can purchase for a fixed time period on a non-recurring basis using the pre-paid plans. Users' credit card or any other mode of payment won't be billed automatically unlike the 'Subscription Plan' where billing recurs monthly. Vivo has launched Y19, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India. Intel unveils its first 7nm ‘Ponte Vecchio’ Xe GPU for HPC, AI Workloads and Sapphire Rapids CPUs

Tech giant Intel took on the stage at the Supercomputing event 2019 to unveil the new category of GPUs based on Xe architecture. Codenamed 'Ponte Vecchio,' it is high-performance, highly flexible discrete general-purpose GPU is architecture for HPC modeling and simulation workloads and AI training. As per the company claims, Ponte Vecchio will be manufactured on Intel’s 7nm technology and will be Intel’s first Xe-based GPU optimized for HPC and AI workloads. Furthermore, it will leverage Intel’s Foveros 3D and EMIB packaging innovations and feature multiple technologies in-package, including high-bandwidth memory, Compute Express Link interconnect, and other intellectual property. According to few reports, the Ponte Vecchio will probably debut in 2021. In addition to it, Intel also announced the oneAPI initiative unified and open programming experience to developers in an attempt to deliver cross-architecture performance without compromising the performance and eliminating the complexity of separate codebases, multiple-programming languages, and different tools and workflows. It's worth mentioning that the oneAPI preserves existing software investments with support for existing languages while delivering flexibility for developers to create versatile applications. Noise, popular for its wearables has launched NoiseFit Evolve, the company's first watch with an AMOLED screen. It has a classic, round form factor  and comes with fitness features, smart notifications, music and camera control, right from your wrist. The company says that the AMOLED screen lets you read easily in direct sunlight. The company says that it has connected GPS, so it looks like the watch will require phone for GPS. Redmi Note 8 Pro Snapdragon 730G version doesn’t exist says Redmi president

Last week a Redmi phone carrying model numbers M1912G7BE/M1912G7BC received 3C certification in China, and it was claimed to be a new version of Redmi Note 8 Pro with Snapdragon 730G processor and 27W fast charging. Redmi Note 8 gets a new Nebula Purple color variant

Xiaomi's Redmi brand introduced the Redmi Note 8 smartphone in China back in August, and it was launched in India last month. The company has introduced a new Nebula Purple color variant in China that joins the Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space Black colors. There was a Cosmic Purple version of the phone that was introduced in India last month, but it is yet to go on sale. To remind you, the phone has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90% screen-to-body ratio, TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification, is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform with up to 6GB RAM, features a 48-megapixel main camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning for low-light shots, 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 2cm macro shots. HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Pro, HONOR View 20 Magic UI 3.0 Android 10 stable update starts rolling out globally

HUAWEI released EMUI 10 based on Android 10 last month and also revealed the list of devices that are confirmed to get the update. HUAWEI P30 Pro started receiving EMUI 10 Open Beta update in India and now, HONOR devices have started receiving Magic UI 3.0 update based on Android 10. The list of devices include HONOR View 20, HONOR 20, and HONOR 20 Pro. Honor 20 users have reported that they are receiving the Magic UI 3.0 update based on Android 10 and the OTA update weighs 4.63GB in size carrying the build number 10.0.0.168 (C431E9R3P7). However, there is no clarity regarding the build number as users are receiving different builds through HiCare app or system updater. The update is also rolling out globally for HONOR 20 Pro and HONOR View 20 users. This update brings all Android 10 features alongside customizations from HONOR. Xiaomi Mi Smart Water Purifier Review

Xiaomi launched its first Smart Water Purifier with RO + UV purification in India at its Smarter Living event in September. It has a 7 liter tank, minimalist design and offers five stages of purification. After trying it out for the few weeks, here is our review. Design Starting with the design, the purifier comes only in white color. On the front there is a Mi logo. Next to it are the Switch and Reset buttons. There is a filter indicator that shows the status. If it blinks orange, then the filter is nearly exhausted, if it's steady orange then the filter is exhausted. If the Wi-Fi indicator is quickly blinks orange, then Wi-Fi is awaiting connection, if it is quickly blinks blue, then the Wi-Fi is offline or connecting. These also let you rest Wi-Fi when you simultaneously press and hold for three seconds, before you set up. The water outlet is present below that. You can press the water dispenser tap or pull it to the top for continuous water flow. Sony confirms Android 10 update for range of Xperia smartphones, roll out begins in December starting from Xperia 1 and Xperia 5

Sony Mobile has officially confirmed the list of its smartphones that will get Android 10 update. This includes its flagship smartphones Xperia 1 and Xperia 5, which will get the update next month. Xperia 10, XZ2, and XZ3 will get the update in early 2020. Sadly, Xperia XZ, XZ1 and Xperia XA2 series are not in the list.
