MIUI update brings shortcut to switch SIM card for data connectivity

Xiaomi’s MIUI is amongst the most popular android skins with more than 300 million worldwide users. MIUI is a heavy skin on top of Android, but what sets it apart from other Android skins is its feature richness and customizations. Xiaomi used to roll out MIUI Global Beta ROM update biweekly, including closed beta on every Tuesday and public beta on every Friday but last month, the company announced its plan to terminate MIUI Global Beta ROM program and said that Global Beta ROM updates will not be released after 1 July. [gallery size="large" columns="2" link="file" ids="285845,285844"] With the last MIUI Global Beta 9.6.27 update, Xiaomi has introduced a new feature that allows a user to switch sim card for data connectivity from the notification panel itself. Users can tap on the small triangular part below quick settings tile to choose sim card for data connectivity. Like before, a single tap on mobile data quick settings tile changes data connectivity state. The feature is available only in MIUI Global Beta v9.6.27 as of now, and we expect it to be released to MIUI Global Stable ROM users with future updates.
