Google Pay update brings the ability to pay friends, save tickets and more

Google Pay is getting a new update bringing features like the ability to pay friends, save tickets, manage information in one place. Google is now combining the Google Pay and Google Pay Send apps. Now, you can send or request money right from the Google Pay app. Google Pay lets you send or receive money if you live in the U.S. and it also lets you split the bill. Just tap on a recent purchase and instantly request money from up to five people. You can also save your concert tickets and boarding passes and once the tickets are saved, you’ll find them with your loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers in the new Passes tab. Now it is also easy to manage your payment info in the app or on the web at pay.google.com, everything is synced with your Google Account. Once you download the app, you will be able to quickly setup eligible cards saved to your Google Account to pay with your phone in stores. Source
