Vivo APEX bezel-less smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner to be announced on June 12

Vivo introduced APEX as the world's first bezel-less smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner and over 90% screen-to-body ratio at the MWC 2018 back in February. At that time it said that the phone is still in concept stage and will go into production in mid-2018. Now the company has announced that it will be introduced at an event in Shanghai, China on June 12th. It has also showcased a new ad in China that highlights the features of the phone. It is also the world’s first Half-Screen Fingerprint Scanning Technology, following the industry’s first mass-produced In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Smartphone X20 Plus UD. It features slim top and side bezels at 1.8mm and a 4.3mm bottom bezel which is the thinnest in the industry. The screen-to-body ratio is expected to be around 98% if the bottom bezel reaches 1.8mm, ultimately creating a truly bezel-less experience.
