Facebook improves two-factor authentication, now supports Google Authenticator and Duo Security
Facebook two-factor authentication is the best practice to secure your account from being vulnerable to any breaches. The company so far used the phone number for authentication is now changing the process and has streamlined the setup flow that guides you through the process. The new authentication doesn't require your phone number anymore. Instead, it will now rely on third-party authentication apps like Google Authenticator and Duo Security on both desktop and mobile, and phone number is no longer mandatory. To turn on two-factor authentication, you can go to account settings and click the “Security and Login” tab. The new two-factor authentication is already rolling out on both mobile and desktop.
