Huawei’s Honor brand has announced that it has started rolling out a new software update to enable Face unlock feature in Honor 7X smartphone in India, as it had promised. Face Unlock for the Honor View 10 was released back in January and the Honor 9 Lite got the feature last month. [HTML1] To enable face recognition, you need to enroll your face by accessing Face recognition feature in phone settings menu. You can enroll your face by simply looking at the camera. By detecting your face, Honor 7X detects the positioning between you and the phone and adjusts the direction accordingly. The new update that brings Face unlock for the Honor 7X will roll out starting today which is being pushed in batches. The company says that all the Honor 7X users should get the update by 16th March 2018. We should also get the full changelog soon. There are not details about the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the phone yet. The company recently launched the Red version of the phone and it also said that the phone is now made in India at Flex plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai.
