Xiaomi Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime MIUI 9.2 update starts rolling out

Xiaomi was supposed to roll out MIUI 9.0 to the third batch of devices in December as announced during MIUI 9 Global launch but as per company, the update was delayed for the entire batch of devices due to a critical bug, but now it seems company had a plan to skip MIUI 9.0 update for the third batch of devices to provide MIUI 9.2 directly. Earlier this week, Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 9.2 to Redmi Note 3, and today company announced that MIUI 9.2 is available to all Redmi Note 3 users. Redmi 3S/Prime, Redmi 4A, Redmi 2/Prime and Mi 4i devices were still running on MIUI 8 Stable ROM but as per users, a couple of hours ago, Xiaomi has started rolling out a new MIUI 9.2 update Redmi 3S/ 3S Prime. The new update comes as MIUI 9.2.2.0.MALMIEK and is of 376 MB in size, and it is still based on Marshmallow only, this update has April 2017 security patch, which is really old and device remains vulnerable to KRACK WPA2 which Xiaomi fixed in other devices including Redmi Note 3.
