LG GX is announced just before Christmas in South Korea and making use of LG Google partnership for Nexus phones and tablet, LG GX Android 4.4 Kitkat update is now live. You can go through settings > About phone and download it officially.

- You will also have to root your LG GX to prepare it for Android 4.4.2 Kitkat upgrade.
- Just before beginning to upgrade your LG GX to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat don’t forget to backup your information, as contacts, text messages and the apps installed from Google Play Store who maybe lost when the installation finishes.
- USB debugging should be enabled on your device.
- Download LG GX Android 4.4 Firmware package to your PC first.
- Install the ROM Manager on your LG GX. Get it from Google Play Store, then install the clockwork mod recovery.
- Connect your LG GX to your PC employing the USB information cable. Copy the “LG GX_4.4.2 Kitkat.zip” file you downloaded to the SD memory card.
- Restart your device in the recovery mode using ROM Manager. As soon as in Recovery Mode, go to ROM Manager and select backup / restore to back-up your information.
- From the Recovery Menu do a total data erase (including Delvik Cache).
- When completed, Go back to Recovery Menu and choose Flash ROM from SD Card. Navigate the location you copied the ”LG GX_4.4 Kitkat.zip” file and follow the directions for installing Android 4.4.2 Kitkat on your LG GX.
- Once done hit "Reboot system now" to boot your device normally.
