Apple iPhone 9 / SE 2 could be announced on April 15

Apple launched the compact iPhone SE back in 2016 with iPhone 5s-like design and while Apple shifted the design language starting with iPhone X, a lot of users have been waiting for a refresh to the iPhone SE. Multiple renders and rumors surfaced on the iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 recently and now a new report suggests that Apple could finally announce the iPhone 9/ iPhone SE 2 on April 15th, 2020. According to an internal meeting by Apple yesterday, the company is said to be preparing for the announcement of the iPhone 9 on April 15th, 2020 and the shipments could start on April 22nd, 2020. Furthermore, the company is said to train a select few retail employees who are working remotely to offer technical and sales support to users and is reportedly sending iMacs to them. OnePlus already confirmed the OnePlus 8 series will be introduced in an online event on April 14th. Apple iPhone 11 series, iPhone 8 series, iPhone 7 series, iPhone XR and XS get a price hike in India after increase in GST

Apple has increased the price of its iPhones, including its iPhone 11 series, iPhone 8 series, iPhone 7 series and iPhone XR and XS in India after the increase in GST from 12% to 18% on mobile phones starting today, April 1st, 2020. This is the second price hike on Apple iPhones this year in the country, after Apple increased the price of iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max smartphones in the country last month due to increase in import duty. The entry-level iPhone 7 32GB now costs Rs. 31,500, compared to Rs. 29,900 older price and the high-end iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB version now costs Rs. 1,50,800, compared to the previous price of Rs. 1,43,200, which is about 5.3% increase for both. The price hike varies from 5.15% to 5.3% for the iPhone depending on the models. Even though Apple sets a standard MRP, some third-party retailers sell the smartphones at cheaper rates. Nokia 7.2 Android 10 update starts rolling out

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2 smartphone, which makes it the eighth Nokia phone to get the update after the  Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 2.2. It was launched last year running Android Pie. Opera for Android update brings improved data saving mode, better offline pages and more

Just as internet usage has spiked as more people remain at home, Opera for Android has released a new update with many features designed around low data usage. These include improved  data saving modes, better offline pages, speed dial and improved crypto services. Beginning with the data savings mode that can be accessed in the settings of the browser, it lets users load pages more easily and quickly, while using less data. Opera has added the option to show a data savings badge on the left of the address bar to let them know how much data they are saving. Offline pages have been improved to let users save any website for offline reading. Users can store a collection of articles for reading later in the day when they get time. Opera also allows customers to customize the storage location for their offline pages, which can be useful for this with no space on their internal storage. Opera has tweaked the Speed dial as they observed that users would rather use the address bar when they are not on the start page. Disney+ to launch in India as Disney+ Hotstar on April 3

After rolling out new update to Hotstar app recently, and slightly delay from the launch date of March 29th, Star & Disney India have finally announced the launch of Dinsey+ services via Hotstar as Disney+ Hotstar in India on April 3rd. Existing Hotstar paid subscribers will get access to Disney+ content without additional charges, but renewals will be charged at new rates. New VIP subscription will now cost Rs 399, up from Rs. 365 earlier, and will include movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, access to live sporting events, movies, shows, and Hotstar originals, but will not include Disney+ Originals. Diney+ Hotstar Premium will now cost Rs. 1,499 compared to Rs. 999/year, which will include over 100 series and 250 superhero and animated titles, including Disney+ Originals and shows from HBO, Fox, and Showtime, as well as content that Disney+Hotstar VIP customers have.
