Paytm raises $1 Billion in new financing round, will invest Rs. 10000 Crore over the next 3 years

Through a new financing round, the Noida-headquartered firm, Paytm has  raised $1 Billion in its latest equity fundraise, named Series G funding. The company, now valued at $16 Billion, had its funding led by U.S. asset manager T Rowe Price with existing investors Ant Financials (contributed $400 million), SoftBank Vision Fund (contributed $200 million), and Discovery Capital also participating in the round. The financing round was conducted as Paytm attempts to fight back giants such as Google, Walmart’s PhonePe, and Facebook. The newly raised capital will be used by Paytm to court merchants as the company looks to expand its presence among small and medium-sized businesses. The company will also be working on expanding their offerings in consumer internet, bringing new-age financial services such as lending, insurance, investments, stockbroking to the masses. The company will invest Rs. 10,000 Cr. over the next 3 years, aimed at bringing financial inclusion to more underserved users in the country. Xiaomi introduced the Mi CC9 Pro as the world's first 108MP penta camera phone in China earlier this month, which was introduced as Mi Note 10 for the global markets. Samsung Galaxy S11e with triple rear cameras surface

Just recently, Samsung's next flagship phone for the year 2020, the Galaxy S11 was leaked with renders. Now, renders of the upcoming budget flagship successor to the Galaxy S10e, the Galaxy S11e has surfaced online. The major changes to the front design are the camera punch hole shifting to the centre top of the screen and a curved front display instead of the flat display like on the S10e. This will bring the screens on par with the more premium S11 and S11+. The device will measure roughly measure 151.7 x 69.1mm. OnLeaks has reported that Samsung Galaxy S11e’s display will measure between 6.2-inches and 6.3-inches diagonally with other standard Samsung design choices like a USB Type-C socket, a primary microphone and a speaker grill, the right spine housing the power switch and volume rocker. As expected, no 3.5mm headphone jack. The rear of the phone shows much larger changes to the design. realme already confirmed that Android 10 roll out for realme phones starting from Q1 2020. Today the company has confirmed that realme’s own customised UI based on ColorOS 7 and Android 10 for realme devices will roll out from January. 2020 onwards. The new UI from realme will feature interesting customizations adding on to the experience which will be closer to stock-Android features, as it had promised earlier. realme’s own customised UI will sport all the new features from the much enhanced ColorOS 7 including system upgradation. Google Nest Mini launched in India for Rs. 4499

Google has launched the Nest Mini, successor to Google Home Mini in India, after it was introduced at the Pixel event last month. It has been completely re-engineered with Google Assistant to make everything users love about the original, even better, said the company. Nest Mini provides bass that’s twice as strong as the original Google Home Mini (measured from 60-100 Hz at maximum volume). "Google’s expert audio engineers developed proprietary audio tuning software, allowing users to get the most out of the hardware," said the company. The new Nest Mini brings improved ability to operate in noisy environments. The Assistant automatically modulates the output sound according to the background noise in the room. It also senses proximity to light up the LED as soon as the user’s hand gets close to the device; guiding where to tap and adjust the volume. Realme X50 will be the company’s first 5G phone with SA/NSA dual mode 5G support, dual punch-hole display

realme already confirmed that it will launch a 5G phone this year, and recently at the realme X2 Pro launch event Madhav Seth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India confirmed that realme will be one of the first brands to launch Qualcomm SoCs with built-in 5G in India in 2020. NoiseFit Evolve Review

Noise launched the NoiseFit Evolve, the company's first smartwatch  with an AMOLED screen earlier this week. It has a lightweight body, several features including music controls, heart rate sensor and more. I have been using the smartwatch from Noise for about a week now, here is the review.
