Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch 2K displays, Kirin 980, 4G LTE announced

Huawei just announced MediaPad M6 series 10.8″ and 8.4″ along with the Nova 5 series in China. It comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch versions with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, are powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 980 SoC and run on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1 on top. These pack a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. These feature a metal frame, but only the 10.8-inch model has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, below the display. The 10.8-inch comes with four-channel Quad Speakers and the 8.4-inch version has two-channel Dual speakers. Both have Huawei Histen sound support, are Harman Kardon audio certified and Support Hi-Res Audio. These have 6100 and 7500mAh battery, respectively with support for QuickCharge technology. The larger model also has pogo pins on the back for keyboard support. HUAWEI Nova 5i with 6.4-inch FHD+ display, 8GB RAM, 24MP in-screen camera, quad rear cameras announced

Along with the Nova 5 and the Nova 5 Pro, HUAWEI also introduced the Nova 5i smartphone in China. It packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and has 24-megapixel in-screen camera, is powered by Kirin 710, unlike the Kirin 810 on the Nova 5, has up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with EMIUI 9.1 top, features quad rear cameras that includes a 24-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel camera for 4cm macro and a 2-megeapixel camera for portrait shots. It has a gradient back with S shaped curve, features a fingerprint sensor on the back and packs a 4000mAh battery. HUAWEI Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro with 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED display, 8GB RAM, quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

HUAWEI just announced Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro smartphones in China, as it had promised. These phones pack a 6.39-inch Full HD+ OLED curved glass dewdrop notch display, run on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1, and feature Leica quad-lens cameras with 48-megapixel  sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro and a 2-megapixel for porait shots. These have a 32-megapixel camera on the front. The Nova 5 is powered by the latest Kirin 810 SoC and the Nova 5 Pro is powered by Kirin 980. These feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, gradient 3D glass back, and pack a 3500mAh battery with 0W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging that lets you charge the phone up to 50% in 15 minutes and 85% in 30 minutes. Realme 2 Pro Android Pie ColorOS 6 stable update finally starts rolling out [Update: Roll out resumes with new version]

Update - June 21, 2019: Realme has started rolling out ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 2 Pro again after it was stopped due to bootloader issues last month. This has the build number RMX1801EX_11_A.21, includes Android security patch for May, 2019 and is 2.68GB in size. It is rolling out gradually, but you can download the update ZIP file from Realme website here and update manually. Earlier: Realme has finally started rolling out Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 2 Pro smartphone in India, after it rolled out beta update recently, as it had promised earlier this month. The phone was launched in the country back in September last year Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.2 on top. The update brings several new features including Chroma Boost Mode and Hal3 / Camera2 API support for the camera, realme Theme Store and more. HUAWEI Kirin 810 7nm Octa-Core SoC with Mali-G52 GPU, DaVinci NPU announced

HUAWEI just introduced Kirin 810 SoC, successor of last year's Kirin 710 that powers several mid-range smartphones. It also detailed some features of the processor. It uses 7nm processor technology, similar to the Kirin 980 flagship SoC, and the first for a mid-range SoC. This has two ARM Cortex-A76 bigger cores clocked at 2.27GHz and the other siz smaller ARM Cortex-A55 cores are clocked at 1.88GHz. It has ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU, which has a 162% performance improvement over the previous generation and supports Kirin Gaming+ technology. In Geekbench, the Kirin 810 offers 11% better single-core scores and 13% better multi-core scores compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 8nm SoC, says HUAWEI. In GFXBench 1080p Mahattan test, the Kirin 810 with ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU offers 44% improved frame rate over Snapdragon 730 with Adreno 618 GPU and it is 15% better frame rate in GFXBench 1080p T-Rex test. The new NPU uses HUAWEI Da Vinci Architecture based on Rubik's Cube Quantitative Stereo Arithmetic Unit. Google is getting out of tablet business, to focus on Pixelbook laptop

Google has officially confirmed that it is getting out of tablet business. Even though the company had two smaller-sized tablets under development, it will not release them. The company introduced Pixel Slate back in October last year along with the Pixel 3 phones. Before that the company had introduced Pixel C tablet back in 2015, which was discontinued in 2017. At that time the company said that it will focus on Pixelbook. People who were working on the tablet have been shifted over to the laptop division. A new Pixelbook laptop is expected to release along with the Pixel 4 later this year. This will be the successor of the original Pixelbook which was released back in 2017. Some articles have made this a bit unclear so wanted to clarify.
