Indian brand CENTRiC has introduced S1 with a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED notch-less screen with 92% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to pop-up 8-megapixel front camera. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 12nm SoC with 6GB of RAM, runs Android Pie, has a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots. It packs a 3800mAh battery with support for Fast Charging and 10W Wireless Charging with PUMP Express 3.0. After a lot of rumours and speculations, LG finally introduced its flagship device dubbed as LG V50 5G ThinQ with 5G support at the MWC. Talking about the design, it looks more or less like its predecessor V40 with triple camera setup. ASUS Zenfone 6 to be announced on May 16 in Spain

After leaks, ASUS has officially confirmed that it will introduce its flagship Zenfone 6 series smartphones at an event in Valencia, Spain on May 16th. Even though its Zenfone 5 series were introduced at the MWC last year, this year the company has decided to launch it couple of months after MWC. The teaser shows the phone in the background without a notch, so it might feature pop-up camera or a slider design to eliminate the notch. An alleged image that surfaced recently showed triple rear cameras for the Zenfone 6 Pro, but it could be early dummy units. Since we are more than two months away from the launch, we will know all the details about the Zenfone 6 series phones before that.

Xiaomi partners with Light for advanced computational imaging solutions for smartphones

Light and Xiaomi Corporation have announced an agreement to jointly develop and market new imaging solutions for smartphones. The partnership will see Light bring together its advanced computational imaging technology with Xiaomi’s high-end smartphone devices. This agreement will enable both the companies to bring to market multi-camera smart devices with DSLR-level capabilities. Light has recently inked a deal with Sony for multi-camera application for smartphones with four or more cameras. Even the latest Nokia 9 PureView uses Light's technology. nubia Alpha wearable smartphone with flexible OLED display, eSIM, water-resistant body announced

nubia at the IFA 2018 in Berlin teased the nubia-α as the world’s most advanced wearable smartphone with a curved OLED screen. As promised it has introduced the Alpha at the MWC. The company claims that it is the world’s first wearable Smartphone with a flexible, wrap-around display. It has a 4.01-inch flexible OLED display from Visionox, which is up to 230% larger than standard wearable displays. The wrap-around screen has an Panoramic aspect ratio for a more immersive and complete experience, says the company. It is made of 11layers which ensures both vibrance and durability over time. It is water-resistant body, and the flexible display is coated in strong, heat-resistant Polyimide. ZTE Blade V10 with 6.3-inch FHD+ display, 32MP front camera, Android Pie announced

Along with the Axon 10 Pro 5G, ZTE also introduced the Blade V10, sucessor of last year's Blade V9. It has a 6.3-inch FHD+ 19:9 waterdrop notch display, is powered by a 2.1GHz Octa-Core processor and runs Android 9.0 (Pie). The main highlight of the phone is its 32-megapixel front camera in the notch, as well as 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots. Apple to soon let app developers offer discounted iOS, macOS, and tvOS subscriptions

Apple, in an article posted on App Store Connect, detailed that iOS, macOS, and tvOS app developers will soon be able to offer discounted subscriptions to past subscribers in an attempt to win those customers back. As a part of this introductory offers for new subscribers, there will be three categories of promotional offers for previous subscribers; Free, Pay as You Go, Pay Up Front. With Free: customers access your subscription for free for a specific duration — for example, a 30-day trial for a subscription with a standard renewal price of $4.99 per month. Pay As You Go: customers pay a promotional price for each billing period for a selected duration — for example, $1.99 per month for three months for a subscription with a standard renewal price of $9.99 per month. Lastly, Pay Up Front: customers pay a one-time promotional price for a specific duration — for example, $9.99 for the first six months of a subscription with a standard renewal price of $39.99 per year.
