LG V40 ThinQ with triple rear cameras, dual front cameras surface in press renders ahead of October 3 announcement

Earlier this month LG announced that it will introduce its flagship V40 ThinQ smartphone on October 3rd. We had already seen renders of the smartphone, now have the first press render of the phone, thanks to @evleaks. This reveals a notch design, triple rear cameras, dual front camera, fingerprint sensor on the back and a metal frame with a dedicated Google Assistant button below the volume rockers. The triple rear cameras will include Telephoto lens, wide-angle lens, 2x zoom and AI features. It is also said to feature dual front cameras and run Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box. Nokia 7 Plus Android 9.0 (Pie) update in final stages of testing, stable roll out expected soon

Google introduced Android Pie Beta program for a range of smartphones including the Nokia 7 Plus back in May. It released Android P Developer Preview 5 (Beta 4) for the smartphone last week. Apple iPhone XS components cost $443 to build: Report

Following the tradition, Techinsights has completed the teardown of the iPhone XS Max A1921 model, with 256GB capacity. The teardown reveals new notched battery for the first time in an iPhone, Apple-designed power management IC for the iPhone XS Max. However, we now have the pricing of the components used on the iPhone XS Max.  Apple introduced the XS Max at a starting price of $1,099 for the basic version with 64GB storage, $1,249 for the variant with 256 GB. Techinsights claims that it costed $443 for Apple to build an iPhone XS MAX; nearly $50 more than last year's iPhone X starting model. Looking at the breakdown, the new AMOLED retina display is the one that cost more at around $80.50. It is a known fact that the display is being manufactured by Samsung. Furthermore, it costs $72.00 to Apple for Applications Processor/Modems; a 10% increase, $64.50 for the memory, $44.00 for the cameras, and $58.00 for the mechanical housing. The cost of the screen increased just 5% from the iPhone X. Going by the pricing chart, every component is costlier compared to iPhone X 2017, except for the assembly materials and the RF antenna. Microsoft announces mouse and keyboard support to Xbox One; partners with Razer

Microsoft today announced that it is bringing support for mouse and keyboard on Xbox One for select Xbox Insiders in the coming weeks. With this new support, developers can include mouse and keyboard support in their games. The support is being added title-by-title basis. Mouse and keyboard input is not enabled by default for games. Warframe will be one of the first titles testing mouse and keyboard input when the feature arrives to 'Insider' in the coming weeks. It announced that it is partnering with Razer to bring support for mouse and keyboard experience for this new functionality. The company also mentioned that is working closely with studios to ensure mouse and keyboard experiences on the console are included. ARCore update brings support for Razer Phone, Galaxy Note 9, upcoming OnePlus 6T and more

Google's ARCore is getting a new update that brings support for more phones and tablets including the likes of Galaxy Note9, OnePlus 6T, and ROG Phone, and the Sony Xperia X. The list of supported devices is compiled from the device profiles included within the ARCore APK. This is not the entire list, as some of the names of the devices are still unknown, usually because they belong to currently unreleased hardware. Do note that the presence of profile doesn't mean full support, but it is an indicator. But the PlayStore listing can take a couple of hours to days. Current list of supported devices includes Asus ROG Phone, Huawei P20 Lite, Mate 10 Pro, OnePlus 6T, Razer Phone, Samsung Galaxy Note9, Galaxy Tab S3, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J5 Pro, Galaxy J7, Galaxy J7 (2017), Sony Xperia X, Vivo NEX. Linking Aadhaar to bank accounts, mobile numbers not mandatory: Supreme Court

After extending the deadline to Aadhaar card with mobile numbers and bank accounts indefinitely, back in March, today Supreme Court has announced that it is not mandatory to link bank accounts and mobile numbers with Aadhaar or when opening a bank account or for obtaining a new SIM card. It also said at No mobile company can demand Aadhaar card. It also said that Aadhaar-PAN linking is mandatory, however it is not mandatory for UGC, NEET & CBSE examinations as well as school admissions. It added that Biometric data shall not be shared with any agency without the permission of the court. "Education has taken us from thumb impression to signature, now technology has taken us from signature to thumb impression," said the SC.

Google will officially unveil the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on October 9th, but before the launch, we already know most of the details that are there to know about the flagships. Google Chrome will automatically log in users when signing into a Google service, brings more control for Automatic Login

With the upcoming Chrome release, whenever you sign into any Google website on Chrome, you will also be signed into Chrome with the same account, as reported earlier. You will also see your Google Account picture right in the Chrome UI, so you can easily see your sign-in status. When you sign out, either directly from Chrome or from any Google website, you’re completely signed out of your Google Account. Google is clearly stating that this change to sign-in does not turn on Chrome sync. Users who want data like their browsing history, passwords, and bookmarks available on other devices must take additional action, such as turning on sync. The new change is to let users know which Google account is signed in. Google says that this is to prevent users from inadvertently performing searches or navigating to websites that could be saved to a different user’s synced account.
