YouTube rolls out Digital Wellbeing tools to track time spent watching videos

A couple of months back, YouTube announced new tools at the Google I/O in order to help the user to understand their usage pattern. From now, users can find all the YouTube tools in one place, alongside your personal time watched profile. With this update, YouTube as built a profile that informs you how long you’ve watched YouTube videos today, yesterday and over the past 7 days. As per the officials, it is used to give a better understanding of how much a user spend on YouTube. Another tool helps the user to set up a reminder to take a break, in case if you spend too much time in the app. Users can do it by heading on to settings and set the amount of YouTube time. Once you’ve hit that limit, a friendly reminder will pop up on your screen. Third, is all about controlling the notification. POCO F1 first sale generated over Rs. 200 crore in less than 5 minutes

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the F1, the company’s first smartphone in India last week, and has promised, it went on sale for the first time today at 12PM. The company has announced that it sold over Rs. 200 crore worth of smartphones in just 5 minutes. LG introduces world’s first 88-inch 8K OLED TV at IFA 2018

LG has introduced world’s first 8K (7680 x 4320) OLED TV at the IFA 2018 in Berlin. It features over 33 million self-emitting pixels offering the best contrast ratio and true blacks. LG did not reveal any details about the TV, but said that it will continue to increase the OLED share in its premium TV portfolio and drive large scale consumer adoption of OLED TVs. Even though 8K TV market is not big currently, it is expected to grow to more than 5 million units by 2022. "Despite advancements in LCD field, OLED has been often referred to as the "next-generation display technology" because it emits its own light, eliminating the need for any kind of backlighting. This allows for state-of-art TVs which redefine both the picture quality and the product design. Amazon Prime Music launches new voice control features powered by Alexa

Online music streaming platform, Amazon Music has introduced a new innovative voice control powered by Alexa to enhance the listening experience. Available in both mobile apps and Echo family devices, users can ask Alexa to play their favorite songs which they haven't listened for a while. In addition to it, they've launched another feature that helps to create playlists or add to the existing playlists just by asking. Furthermore, Amazon Prime Music allows the user to go back and listen to music from an earlier point just by asking Alexa. Instagram introduces extra user details in profiles, account verification service; support for third-party authenticator apps coming soon

Photo and video sharing social network, Instagram has introduced new tools in an attempt to enhance the security of the community. The company has announced three significant tool: About This Account, Increasing Access to Verification and Support for Third-Party Authenticator Apps. The "About this account" section in the Instagram provides more information about the accounts with large followings. With this, you can access details like the date the account joined Instagram, the country where the account is located, accounts with shared followers, any username changes in the last year and any ads the account is currently running. The company also mentioned that, in September, user accounts with large audiences can review the information and will be rolled out to the public soon to the global community.
