Bose Home Speaker 500, Soundbar 700 and Soundbar 500 with Alexa announced; AirPlay 2 coming in early 2019

Soon after the Harmon Kardon Citation 500 launch, Bose has introduced the new wireless smart speaker and two new smart soundbars namely -- the Bose Home Speaker 500 for music, and the Bose Soundbar 700 and Soundbar 500 for music and home theater. Both the smart speaker and soundbars use their proprietary mic technology found in Bose headsets and headphones to hear commands better over louder listening levels. It also comes equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Alexa, by which users can access millions of songs, information, smart home control and much more. Talking about the Bose Home Speaker 500, it comes in anodized aluminum and uses two custom drivers pointed in opposite directions for powerful and lifelike music without any distortion and artificial effects. The speaker can be controlled by either phone or through buttons located on the right top. The Bose Soundbar 700, on the other hand, is the flagship product that comes packed with their proprietary technology called as Bose PhaseGuides, which sends multiple channels of a soundtrack or song throughout a space, placing discrete sound in places where there are no speakers. Meizu M8 Lite with 5.7-inch 18:9 full-screen display, Android 8.1 gets certified

Meizu introduced the 6T smartphone in China recently, now a new smartphone with a model number M816Q has been certified by TENAA in China, which could be launched as the M8 Lite. This reveals a similar 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, but it will be powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, run Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Flyme OS on top, feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Based on the images, it will come with a poly-carbonate body, fingerprint sensor below the camera and pack a 3100mAh battery. Moto G7 with water drop screen, dual rear cameras surface in live images

It has just been four months since Motorola announced the Moto G6 series, now live images of the Moto G7 has surfaced. It is being tested as Moto G6 Plus, and the first big change is the water drop notch design, which is a trend these days. The notch houses a camera, and the fingerprint sensor that was present below the screen on the Moto G6 and the G6 Plus is missing, so it is now on the back of the phone with a Motorola logo, similar to the Moto G6 Play. Since it has a water drop screen with minimal bezels, the phone will have a smaller body. It has a shiny glass back, and the dual rear cameras are arranged vertically with dual LED flash below them. The specifications is rumored to be similar to the Moto G6 Plus, including Snapdragon 630 SoC with up to 6GB RAM, 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, 8MP front camera, and a 3200mAh battery with Turbo charging. Sony posts ‘Seeing is believing’ teaser ahead of Xperia smartphone announcement at IFA on August 30

Harmon Kardon Citation 500 with Google Assistant support announced

Harmon Kardon has announced a new smart speaker called Citation 500 with Google Assistant support. The smart speaker will be shown at the upcoming IFA 2018 and will be available for pre-order in Europe around September. The company has collaborated with Kvadrat, Europe's leading design textiles manufacturer to design the wool fabrics that lend the speaker a minimalist look. The speaker comes in gray and black color option similar to that of Google Home speakers. The Citation 500 features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Chromecast and Google Assistant as well. It has 200W stereo speakers and supports 24 bit/96Khz high-definition audio streaming. It can be controlled through an LCD touch panel housed on the top of the speaker or through voice to request music or other wireless play. In addition to it, the Citation 500 can be used as a smart home hub for controlling functions like lights or thermostat. The Citation 500 carries a price tag of £549 (US$ 709 / Rs. 49,760 approx.), which is $300 more than the Google Home Max. Samsung Galaxy S8+ gets another price cut in India, now available for Rs. 39990

Samsung launched the  Galaxy S8 smartphone in India back in April last year for Rs. 64,900. Few months it got a price cut to Rs. 58,900,  and to Rs.53,990 in April. Today the phone has received whopping Rs. 12,000 price cut and is available for Rs. 39,990 (MOP). This comes months after the launch of  Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones and a week after the Galaxy Note9 in the country.
