Huawei launches accidental protection plans for Huawei and Honor smartphones in India

Huawei today has announced affordable protection plans for Huawei and Honor smartphones. It has partnered with OneAssist, ubiquitous platform for assistance and protection programs to provide these plans to consumers in India. The new protection plan is available on all smartphones available on Amazon.in. The protection plan is available for Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei P20 lite, and all Honor smartphones including Honor 7X, Honor V10, Honor 8 Pro, among others. The protection plans start from Rs. 1249 and are valid for one year from the date of the activation of the program. According to the company, the new protection plans will cover any kind of accidental and liquid damage to the device, including unintentional drops. Under these plans, the customers are entitled to free pick up and drop, 24x7 on-call assistance, cashless claim service among others. The free pickup-drop service is available for customers on a PAN India basis. The plan auto-activates within 15 days of purchase. Huawei currently has 21 exclusive service centers and 250+ authorized service centers. Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 with 5.5-inch HD display, 13MP front and rear cameras, Android Oreo announced

Exactly after a year from launching the Galaxy Wide 2, Samsung in partnership with SK Telecom has announced the Wide 3 smartphone which like its predecessor will be exclusive to South Korea. The Galaxy Wide 3 sports a 5.5-inch HD display, and packs a 13MP rear camera.  The Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 is powered by an Octa-Core processor, packs 2GB of RAM with 32GB storage. It runs on Android Oreo right out of the box. According to the company, both Wide and wide 2 combinedly have sold more than 1.3 million units. Among those who have purchased the Wide 2,  about 70% of customers over 40 and 25% of customers under 10. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Android 8.1 Oreo MIUI 9.5 update with gesture support, Dual 4G VoLTE starts rolling out

Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 9.5 in March and as per the schedule Redmi Note 5 Pro was supposed to get the update in April. Towards end of April, company revised the schedule and said that it will roll out MIUI 9.5 update for Redmi Note 5 Pro in May with a surprise. MIUI 9.5 for Redmi Note 5 Pro was leaked last month and it was based on Android Oreo 8.1, so it was not difficult to guess what surprise Xiaomi kept for users. Earlier this week, users on Mi Community started reporting that they started receiving MIUI Global Stable 9.5.6.0 update on their Redmi Note 5 Pro. Microsoft SMS Organizer app delivers CBSE Class 10, Class 12 board exam results to your phone even if you are offline

Microsoft is bringing a very interesting feature to its SMS Organizer app; the app can now deliver your CBSE Class 10, Class 12 board exam results directly to your inbox even when you are offline. Instead of refreshing your browser to check results, you can register on the app to get them delivered directly. Microsoft had partnered with CBSE to display the board exam results on bing.com back in 2016, and is now extending the experience to Microsoft SMS Organizer as well. To get your results, firstly you need to have SMS organizer app installed and then look out for the notification from SMS Organizer to register for CBSE results. Click on the notification and register with your details like your roll number, school code, and date of birth to complete registration. Once you are registered, on result day, you will get a notification of your result, and you just have to click to see your scorecard. This is really an easy way to get your results delivered directly to your mobile as soon as they are released. This works even without an internet connection on result day. Source
