HMD Global at the MWC 2018 event brought back the Nostalgia yet again like it did with Nokia 3310 at the MWC 2017 last year. It is a feature phone with 2.4-inch QVGA Curved display, intuitive tactile mechanics with slide to answer and end the call, and a helicopter-style spin on its axis. The Nokia 8110 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 Mobile Platform clocked at 1.1GHz Dual-Core processor and comes with access to an app store with apps like Google Assistant, Google Search, Google Maps, Facebook, and Twitter, send and receive emails, import your contacts and sync your calendar with Outlook and Gmail. HMD Global  announced Nokia 6 (2018) and the successor of last year’s Nokia 6 China last month. Today at its MWC 2018 it introduced another Nokia 6 smartphone for the global markets, which is an Android One smartphone. ZTE at the MWC 2018 event has announced the Temp Go Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone. It comes with a 5-inches FWVGA display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC, 1GB RAM. The Temp Go is not just one of the first Android Oreo (Go Edition) phones to go official, it is the first Go Edition from ZTE. Huawei just announced MediaPad M5 series 10.8" and 8.4" at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona. It comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch versions with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 960 SoC and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 on top. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. It has a metal unibody design and also has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, below the display. The 10.8-inch comes with Quad Speakers and the 8.4-inch version has Dual speakers. Both have Huawei Histen sound support, are Harman Kardon audio certified and Support Hi-Res Audio. These have 5100 and 7500mAh battery, respectively with support for QuickCharge technology. The larger model also has pogo pins on the back for keyboard support. Huawei MateBook X Pro with 13.9-inch FullView touchscreen display, 8th gen Intel Core processors announced

Huawei has kickstarted the MWC 2018 with the MateBook X Pro Windows 10 laptop. It sports a 13.9-inches 3K LTPS display, and it is the first Huawei's notebook with FullView design and a 91% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the 8th gen Intel Core processors, metal body design, and the 10-point touchscreen display. The Huawei MateBook X Pro features quad speakers and split frequency set-up and Dolby's Atmos Sound System for an immersive 3D sound experience. The company says that the Quad microphones accurately pick up sound from 4 meters away. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. It has a backlit keyboard. Nokia and Facebook team up to expand 60GHz fixed wireless access ecosystem

Nokia today announced that it is partnering with Facebook in expanding the ecosystem for fixed wireless access over 60 GHz to deliver gigabit speeds. The 60GHz band allows high-speed broadband connectivity in urban or suburban areas, complementing existing fiber. Nokia mentioned that it would combine its worldwide delivery capabilities and wireless passive optical network (WPON) with Facebook's Terragraph technology in launching global gigabit broadband trials in 2018 with select customers. By combining WPON with Terragraph's mesh-routing and multi-hop capabilities will allows broadband providers to wirelessly deliver gigabit services over wider areas with high reliability and meet growing demands for ultra-broadband access. Both the companies will work together to accelerate IEEE's 802.11ay, using the Nokia's Wireless PON innovation and Terragraph's efficient TDMA scheduling capabilities. The ultimate goal here is to create a strong platform and ecosystem for the 60GHz Terragraph-certified solutions to the marketplace and deliver gigabit services. Nokia last year launched the Wireless PON (WPON) solution and is further expanding its fiber-to-the-most-economical-point toolkit. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S with Snapdragon 845 to be announced on March 27

After several rumors, Xiaomi today confirmed that it will introduce it its next smartphone in the Mi MIX series dubbed as Mi MIX 2S powered by Snapdragon 845 in China on March 27th, putting an end to rumors that said the phone will be unveiled at the MWC next week. The company has also mentioned the AnTuTu benchmark score of the phone as 273741 on the invite, which is twice the score of the first Mi MIX that was powered by Snapdragon 821.
