OnePlus 3 and 3T get final October 2019 security patch
OnePlus launched the 'OnePlus 3' back in 2016 and 6 months later launched the 'T' version of the smartphone, OnePlus 3T. The company has been pushing timely updates to both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T and now, according to the maintenance schedule released by OnePlus, both smartphones have reached the final update cycle. OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T have started getting October 2019 security patch and it will be the final security update for both the smartphones. As promised in the software maintenance schedule, the company released two years of Android updates (since the release of the phone) that included new features, Android version upgrades and security patch updates bi-monthly. OnePlus also promised an additional year of security updates for its smartphones and delivered the same to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The October 2019 security update for OnePlus 3 and 3T also includes an update to GMS apps and general bug fixes and improvements. Qualcomm just announced its 3-day annual Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii on December 3, 4 and 5. The company has confirmed that it will have keynotes that will cover 5G Global Expansion, Flagship Snapdragon Mobile Platforms, XR and Always On, Always Connected PC. We can expect the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, successor of the Snapdragon 855 that was introduced in December last year. New Snapdragon 735 and other new mid-range SoCs with 5G are also expected. Based on earlier rumors, the Snapdragon 865 is said to come in two versions condenamed ‘Kona’ and ‘Huracan’, one with integrated X55 5G modem and the other one without it. It is said to feature one Cortex A77-based Kryo core clocked at 2.84GHz and three Cortex A77-based Kryo cores clocked at 2.48GHz and four Cortex A55-based Kryo cores clocked at 1.8GHz and support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. OPPO introduced the ColorOS 7 at an event in China today. At the event the company has confirmed Reno 3 series, successor of the Reno 2 series will be introduced in December. This will come with ColorOS 7 out of the box and will have support for 5G standalone and non-stand alone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks. Qualcomm already announced expansion of 5G support for older 7 Series and 6 Series in 2020, so the Reno 3 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 735 (Snapdragon 7250) SoC. realme China CMO Xu Qi Chase also shared an image of ColorOS 7 and 5G symbol on the top. Realme true wireless earbuds launching in India in December alongside XT 730G
Realme launched the most expected realme X2 Pro smartphone in India today along with the realme 5s smartphone, but it did not announce any other new accessories. However, at the end of the event Realme CEO Madhav Sheth showed of the company's first wireless earbuds. As you can see, the earbuds looks similar to the Apple Airpods, but it is in yellow color that goes with the company's yellow colored branding. He also said that the company plans to launch several products, so we can expect realme Fitness Band that was teased earlier. The company might be working on VOOC PowerBanks for the future. The Realme earbuds will be introduced along with the realme XT 730G (X2) next month. It is not clear if we can expect the rumored realme 6 as well.
