RCS Messaging rolling out to all Android Messages users in the US

Google has been testing integrating Rich Communication Services (RCS) in Android Messages for a few users in the USA for quite a while. Now Google has decided to broadly roll out RCS for all Android users through the Android Messages app. Users in the US will be able to enable RCS Chat features over the coming weeks. Google has been unsuccessfully trying for years to get in the chatting and messaging space. Their latest attempt is to upgrade their Android Messages app, that is currently working on SMS, to the new RCS standard. RCS enables users to chat over Wi-Fi or mobile data, send and receive high-resolution photos and videos along with the capability of message received confirmations. Plus, users will get better group chats, with the ability to name groups, add and remove people to and from groups, and see if people haven’t seen the latest messages. These new chat features have been in testing with a few users in US. Google in now rolling them widely to all android users by the end of the year. Apple Research App gets three new medical research studies

Apple's Research App has launched three new studies in partnership with leading academic and research institutions namely - the Apple Women’s Health Study, the Apple Heart and Movement Study, and the Apple Hearing Study. Apple users can now participate and contribute to new medical research with the iPhone and Apple Watch. The Research App gives users a streamlined enrolment process and engaging tasks in  straightforward and secure app. Users will provide useful data through the iPhone and Apple Watch - movement, heart rate and noise levels — captured during everyday activities, from taking a walk to attending a concert. The Research App will only share this data with chosen studies with consent from the user along with finer control in the type of data shared with each study. The first study, called the Apple Women's Health Study is a research study aimed at better understanding menstrual cycles and how they relate to women’s health. HUAWEI Mate Pad series with dual rear cameras, in-screen front camera, stylus support to be announced on November 25

After leaks, HUAWEI CEO Richard Yu has confirmed that the company will introduce the Mate Pad tablet series at an event in Shanghai, China on November 25th. Image of the MatePad Pro tablet that surfaced recently revealed a punch-hole screen, stylus support and a keyboard accessory. There could be normal and Pro versions of the tablet. It is rumored  to be powered by Kirin 990 SoC with support for up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, as well as a large battery of at least 7000mAh with support for QuickCharge technology. This was earlier rumored to launch as MediaPad M7, successor of the M6, which was announced back in June, so this might feature a similar four-channel Quad Speakers, HUAWEI Histen sound support and Harman Kardon audio certification, and  pogo pins on the for keyboard support. Redmi Note 4 starts receiving MIUI 11 Global Stable update

Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with the Redmi Note 8 series at an event in India. MIUI 11 aims to bring a brand new optimized modern UI design focused on content viewing and has along with nifty additions designed specifically for India. The company has already completed MIUI 11 rollout for the first phase of devices and has already started testing MIUI Stable Beta for the second and third batch of devices. The new update comes as MIUI 11.0.2.0.NCFMIXM and weighs around 458 MBs in size. Xiaomi has not updated the Android Security patch on the device and it still runs on almost a year old December 2018 patch.
