Motorola razr with 6.2-inch flexible OLED 21:9 CinemaVision display, Quick View external display announced

Motorola just announced razr, the company's latest foldable smartphone, as it had promised. It is still a flip phone, similar to the old range but this has a large  6.2-inch flexible OLED 21:9 CinemaVision screen that closes completely in half, thanks to hinge mechanism that allows the phone to close with both sides perfectly flush. "This engineering breakthrough protects the display and creates an even thinner, more compact design," says the company. The touchscreen Quick View external display lets you respond to notifications, take selfies, play your music, use Google Assistant, and more without having to flip open your phone. There is a 16MP main camera with Laser Auto Focus and Night Vision mode and electronic image stabilization as well as built-in artificial intelligence (AI). On the outside there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 710 with 6GB of RAM, runs stock Android Pie and doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack, but it comes with Premium USB Type-C headphones, tuned by expert sound engineers. Apple was working on a 16-inch MacBook Pro and previous reports, assets in macOS Catalina confirmed the existence of the new MacBook from Apple. Now, Apple has officially announced the all-new MacBook Pro sports a Retina display, 9th generation processor, up to 64GB RAM, up to a whopping 8TB storage, and more. The new MacBook Air flaunts a larger 16-inch Retina display with a resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels, up to 60Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness and comes with P3 wide color gamut. Airtel begins building partnerships for 5G use cases; in talks with other companies for private LTE networks

At India Mobile Congress (IMC) last year and this year, Airtel showcased 5G use cases, futuristic digital technologies, and more. While some countries have started deploying commercial 5G networks, Indian telecom operators are yet to get the spectrum allocated. But in the meantime, Airtel has now said that they have started building partnerships and alliances for right 5G use cases and is also in talks for private LTE networks. Facebook launches Facebook Pay payment service in the US

Facebook appears to be keen on entering into financial systems with products like Calibra wallet, Libra Network and now its latest venture is Facebook Pay. It intends on creating a uniform payment experience across its services like Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp and will launch in US for Facebook and Messenger this week. The service will first be available for fundraisers, in-game purchases, event tickets, person-to-person payments on Messenger and purchases from select Pages and businesses on Facebook Marketplace on Facebook and Messenger. Facebook has said that overtime they will bring this service to WhatsApp and Instagram. To begin, users can simply go to “Settings” > “Facebook Pay” on the Facebook app and Website where users will be required to first add a payment method. Instagram is going after TikTok with its video-music remix service called Instagram Reels. It will let users create 15 second video clips attached with music share them as Stories, with the potential to go viral on a new Top Reels section of Explore. The service is currently being tested in Brazil under the name Cenas for both iOS and Android. Instagram is currently testing this feature in countries where TikTok is not very prevalent. Brazil has a huge Instagram user base with a deeply musical culture and a thriving creator community. China smartphone shipments reach 98.9 million units, down 3.6% YoY in Q3 2019: IDC

Smartphone shipments in China appear to be improving with a 3.9% decline YoY, up from the 6% decline YoY in Q2 2019, thanks due to HUAWEI's strong domestic sales. The top 5 manufacturers in China for Q3 2019 were HUAWEI, Vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi and Apple with the total smartphone shipments counting to 98.9 million units. HUAWEI claimed the top spot with a record 42% market share in the Chinese market. With Google play services banned for HUAWEI in the global market, HUAWEI focussed heavily on its domestic market. While the Changxiang and Nova series were the volume drivers, the high-margin Mate and P series provided attractive channel margins. Vivo sold about 18.1 million units, having strong sales in the US$150-200 and US$200-400 segments with its Y and Z series. The iQOO series proved to be popular with the tech enthusiasts and Vivo also garnered some interest with its cheaper 5G models.
