At the IFA 2019 event in Berlin, Lenovo has announced an array of products including new models of 14-inch and 15-inch Yoga laptops, ThinkBook 14, ThinkBook 15, Smart Display 7 with Google Assistant, ThinkVision monitor and more. Lenovo Yoga C940 14-inch and 15-inch Lenovo Yoga C940 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with up to 14-inch 4K UHD display, is powered by 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and it dynamically upscales video content on Windows Media Player to Super Resolution. It comes with Intel's Project Athena that is designed to light up immediately with instant resume, built-in AI and advanced voice assistant and more. It also comes with an 'Intelligent Cooling Mode' to auto-adjust performance and optimize battery life based on tasks. At the IFA 2019 event in Berlin, Qualcomm has made announcements related to 5G and the key announcements include expansion of 5G mobile platforms across the Snapdragon 8 Series, 7 Series and 6 Series in 2020, Qualcomm QTM527 mmWave antenna module and Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System. Qualcomm 5G expansion Qualcomm has announced their plans to accelerate 5G global commercialization at scale by expanding its portfolio of 5G mobile platforms across the Snapdragon 8 Series, 7 Series and 6 Series in 2020. It plans to make the next-generation of camera, video, AI and gaming experiences more broadly available. The Snapdragon 7 Series 5G Mobile Platform will have 5G integrated into an SoC and support all key regions and frequency bands. The new integrated Snapdragon 7 Series 5G mobile platform is planned to be used by OPPO, realme, Redmi, Vivo, Motorola, HMD Global, the home of Nokia smartphones, and LG Electronics in their future 5G smartphones. Blaupunkt Gen Z 43-inch and 49-inch FULL HD Smart LED TVs launched in India for Rs. 19999 and Rs. 24999
Blaupunkt, the German electronics brand launched a range of audio products like headphones, soundbars and last year, the company forayed into the Indian TV market with a range of Smart LED TVs televisions. Expanding its television lineup, Blaupunkt has launched two new models in Gen Z series - 43-inch and 49-inch FULL HD LED TVs. The 43-inch model(BLA43BS570) and 49-inch model(BLA49BS570) sport a FULL HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and support 60Hz refresh rate. They are powered by a 1.5GHz Quad-Core processor paired with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, run Android operating system with support for smart connectivity and streaming apps like Netflix, Hotstar, Youtube, Amazon Prime and Spotify. It has built-in Wi-Fi and the 30W speakers on these televisions support Dolby Digital audio and surround sound. There is also a dedicated app called 'Blaupunkt TV Care' to aid users with queries they may have pertaining to the television. Blaupunkt Gen Z 43-inch model is priced at Rs. 19,999 and the 49-inch model is priced at Rs. 24,999. HUAWEI just announced Kirin 990 and Kirin 990 5G SoCs at its IFA event as expected. The Kirin 990 is based on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturer Company’s (TSMC) 7nm process, while the Kirin 990 5G that has built-in 5G modem supporting Sub-6 GHz 5G networks on both SA and NSA architectures and uses TSMC’s latest 7nm plus EUV manufacturing, which helps enable a smaller die size offering 36% board reduction, increased transistor density by 18% and 10% improvement in energy efficiency. These have 16-Core Mali-G76 GPU, compared to 10-Core in the Kirin 980 SoC offering 6% improvement in graphics processing performance. The built-in 5G modem in the Kirin 990 5G offers up to 2.3Gbps download speed and 1.25 Gbps upload speed. Combined with LTE, this will offer up to 3.3Gbps download speed and up to 1.32Gbps upload speed. The SoCs have 2 (Big Core) performance + 1 (Smaller Core) ultra lower consumption Da Vinci-based NPU. Xiaomi Mi Charge Turbo next generation fast charging technology to be announced on September 9
Xiaomi today announced that it will introduce Mi Charge Turbo, the company's next-generation fast charging technology in China on September 9th. It says that it will be the fast charging for the 5G era. The company currently uses 27W fast charging on its flagship phones including Mi 9, and it was the first company to introduce world’s first 20W wireless fast charging with the Mi 9 back in February this year. It is doubtful if we can expect Xiaomi’s 100W Super Charge Turbo technology that was demoed earlier this year showing a phone with 4000mAh battery charged fully in just 17 minutes. Some reports say that we can expect improved wireless charging with faster speed of at least 30W, which could be first in the world once again. Earlier this year Xiaomi introduced new 20W charging pad with improved heat dissipation using ultra quiet fan. In the second half of the year, the company will unveil its flagship Mi MIX4, which should use this wireless fast charging technology. Vivo just launched the Z1x, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India as it had announced. It has a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 90% screen-to-body ratio and SCHOTT Xensation Glass protection, which the company says is 8.15% better than the competition. The phone also has DC dimming in the form of low brightness anti-flicker. It is powered by Snapdragon 712 with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with Funtouch OS 9.1, features a 48-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots.
