Apple iOS 12 Beta 5 hints at Dual SIM support for 2018 iPhones

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="571"] Image: 9to5Mac[/caption] We've heard about future iPhones sporting Dual-SIM slots, in fact, the upcoming entry-level 6.1-inch iPhone 2018 with dual sim support to be priced as low as $550. To further strengthen earlier rumors, the iOS 12 developer beta 5 update that was rolled out recently shows the evidence of the dual-SIM support.  The iOS 12 beta 5 shows the support for dual SIM at least in the software front. A component of the system that is responsible for the generation of diagnostic reports includes new references to “second SIM status” and a “second SIM tray status”. Another component shows references of a “dual sim device.” These references are a clear indication that Apple is finally prepping iOS to run on future iPhones with support for Dual SIM cards. This particular feature is especially important for European and Asian markets where support for Dual SIM cards is a necessity since it eliminates the need to swap SIM cards constantly. Though this development doesn't mean that future iPhones will come with Dual SIM card slots, it sure brings a ray of hope for those who were waiting. Source

Users who have the supported handset can download the Fortnite Mobile on Android the web browser, instead, of Play Store. In the next page, users will be informed about the "security permissions” which likely refers to enabling installation from unknown sources. The reason for not offering Fortnite on Play Store is unknown at the moment. The only practical reason for this decision is because it would lose out on 30% of all sales, in-app purchases as apps distributed within the Play Store must use Google Play In-app ...

Samsung Wireless Charging Duo EP-N6100 and EP-P3100, Galaxy Note9 price, color variants surface

We have already come across a new wireless charging dock; the Wireless Charger Duo (EP-N6100) from Samsung that will be introduced alongside the Note 9. This solution according to the reports will be able to charge two devices at a time, including the Galaxy Watch. Now fresh leak reveals that Samsung has one more wireless charging dock up its sleeve, the EP-P3100 which seems to be more compact compared to the EP-N6100. While reports suggest that the EP-P3100 could charge two mobile phones or one mobile phone and one watch at the same time like the EP-N6100; going by the looks from the leaked images and compact nature, it needs to be seen how Samsung will achieve such a feat. This model is smaller and will be available in Black and White. Sony WF-SP700N Noise Cancelling Truly Wireless Sports Headphones Review

Earlier this year, we reviewed the WF-1000X, Sony's first foray into truly wireless audio. A premium headset with a focus on audio quality and design, we found it to be an acceptable first generation offering. The all new Sony WF-SP700N on the other hand is quite a different product. Sony claims that this is the first truly wireless product that is both splash proof and offers active cancellation. Does it fare any better than competing headsets? Lets find out. Design Compared to the slim and sleek case of the WF1000X, the Sony WF-SP700N is packed in a pretty bulky charging case. It might be shorter in length but the pebble like shape creates a bulk in pockets and certainly won't fit in skinny jeans. [gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="259580,259581"] Where most truly wireless headphones have a charging case that flips open, this one slides to the side. There's something very satisfying about flicking it open. The cover even has a bit of magnetic action so pulling it halfway will cause it to close up on its own. Unfortunately, the plastic is extremely flimsy. This thing will definitely break unless you're careful with it. Slotting in the earphones too is ever so slightly harder, a side effect ...

Gmail update for Android hints at email scheduling

Google is finally working on bringing native e-mail scheduling of its own without making users go through with any workarounds to schedule emails. Since Google is working on e-mail scheduling for mobile, it should be coming to the web as well. The evidence to this is just a simple label containing the title "Schedule send" that sits as a new entry in the overflow menu of the Compose screen. Though there's a chance of this feature rolling out to mobile and the web at the same time, there's no concrete proof to back the claim. The functioning of the e-mail scheduling is as you expect will let you compose an email and then schedule it as per your requirement. You can download the latest Gmail APK from here and side-load it in case, you haven't got the update on Play Store. Source

YouTube web player update adapts to different aspect ratios

YouTube today has announced it is pushing an update to the YouTube video player on the desktop. The player now automatically adapts to provide the best viewing experience based on the video’s size and your screen size. After Android and iOS, this update is now coming to the desktop.  YouTube notes that that non-wide-screen videos like vertical and square sized-videos would show black bars alongside the video, making the video really small. However, the new update moves away from the needing black bars. This change aligns the video watching experience on the desktop and mobile. What basically this does is that it removes the 16:9 frame around every video, thus allowing them to appear larger and adjust to different window sizes accordingly. The removal of the black bar around on every video has been removed, and it's especially noticeable on vertical videos. The change is now going live to everyone. Source
