IFA 2019: Qualcomm announces 5G expansion across Snapdragon 8 Series, 7 Series, 6 Series, Qualcomm QTM527 mmWave antenna module and 5G Modem-RF System

At the IFA 2019 event in Berlin, Qualcomm has made announcements related to 5G and the key announcements include expansion of 5G mobile platforms across the Snapdragon 8 Series, 7 Series and 6 Series in 2020, Qualcomm QTM527 mmWave antenna module and Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System. Qualcomm 5G expansion Qualcomm has announced their plans to accelerate 5G global commercialization at scale by expanding its portfolio of 5G mobile platforms across the Snapdragon 8 Series, 7 Series and 6 Series in 2020. It plans to make the next-generation of camera, video, AI and gaming experiences more broadly available. The Snapdragon 7 Series 5G Mobile Platform will have 5G integrated into an SoC and support all key regions and frequency bands.  The new integrated Snapdragon 7 Series 5G mobile platform is planned to be used by OPPO, realme, Redmi, Vivo, Motorola, HMD Global, the home of Nokia smartphones, and LG Electronics in their future 5G smartphones. It will begin sampling to customers in the second quarter of 2019. Snapdragon 6 Series 5G Mobile Platform devices, on the other hand, are expected to be commercially available in the second half of 2020.
