The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. It is 164.4mm tall due to the bigger screen, but the width is 75.6mm, same as the predecessor. The company is calling the notch as mini-drop, which it says is 30.9% smaller than the previous generation. Redmi Note 8 Pro 64MP Quad Camera phone and Redmi Note 8 to be announced on August 29

After teasers Xiaomi's Redmi brand just confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones at an event in China along with the Redmi TV on August 29th. The image confirms 64-megapixel camera with quad camera setup for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. There is a fingerprint sensor below the camera module. The back looks like glass, which is an upgrade from the plastic back on the previous Redmi Note series. The company already confirmed that Redmi Note 8 Pro will use Samsung’s latest 1/7″ 0.8-micrometer (μm) pixel 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor that is 38% bigger than 48MP sensor that it uses in its latest smartphones and will offer 9248 x 6936 pixel resolution. It also confirmed that the phone will launch in India in Q4 2019. Xiaomi posts 14.8% YoY increase in revenue in Q2 2019, 32.1 million smartphones shipped

Xiaomi has announced its earning for the second quarter (Q2 2019) that ended June 30, 2019. It has reported revenue of 51.951 billion yuan (US$ 7.35 billion) for Q1 2019, an increase of 14.8% YoY, among which international revenue grew 33.1% year-on-year to 21.9 billion yuan. Net profit for the quarter was approximately 1.96 billion yuan. Adjusted net profit (Non-IFRS Measure) was 3.64 billion yuan, up 71.7% YoY. Smartphones segment posted revenue of 32 billion yuan, up 4.91% year over year. Smartphone shipments reached 32.1 million units, almost same as previous year. Redmi Note 7 series shipments reached 20 million units and K20 series has already been recorded at more than 1 million units within the first month of its launch. Xiaomi’s revenue from international markets grew 33.1% year-on-year to RMB 21.9 billion. Revenue from IoT and lifestyle products segment increased by 44% YoY to RMB14.9 billion. IoT and lifestyle products accounted for 28.8% of total revenue in the second quarter of the year, compared with 22.9% in the same period last year. OnePlus TV launching in India in September

Back in September last year OnePlus confirmed that it is working on its first Smart TV with a premium design.  Last week it revealed the name and logo of the company’s first smart display/TV device and said that it will be called OnePlus TV. Today the company's CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the TV will launch in September, and India will be the first country to get it. He said that OnePlus TV is such an important product, which the company has been working from the scratch for two years, and can’t wait to see it in living rooms all over India. The company is expected to tie up with content providers for their TV, similar to what Xiaomi did with the Mi TV for its Patchwall interface. "Thanks to the hard work and 'Never Settle' spirit of our team and community, we have built an excellent foundation on which to build the OnePlus TV experience," said the OnePlus CEO. Apple starts rolling out Apple Card for all users in US

Earlier this year, Apple introduced ‘Apple Card’ a new kind of credit card that is built into the Apple Wallet app on the iPhone as well as a physical credit card. The preview program invitation started rolling out to a few customers earlier this month. Now, after rolling out the preview program, Apple is officially rolling out Apple Card for all US customers. Apple Card is now rolling to all users in the US and users can apply for the credit card starting today. American audio manufacturer Bose announced the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 earlier this year. It features a refreshed design, adjusting mechanism on the outer side, Type-C charging port and more. Today, Bose has officially launched the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 in India along with the pre-order information. Last week OPPO confirmed that it will launch the Reno 2 smartphone in India on August 28th. Today the phone has been certified by TENAA in China with the model numbers PCKM00 and PCKT00, revealing the specifications.
