Meizu 16Xs with 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 675, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Meizu just announced 16Xs, the company's latest mid-range smartphone in China as it had promised. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with ultra narrow bezel and 90.29% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 675 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Flyme OS 7 based Android Pie with One Mind 3.0 AI, has a 48-megapixel rear camera with Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, night mode along with an 8-megapixel 118.8° ultra-wide and a 5-megapixel camera. It also has a 16-megapixel camera on the front with AI beauty features and 0.2-second fast face unlock. The phone has a plexiglass back, an in-display fingerprint scanner that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds and packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 18w mCharge fast charging. The phone doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack, but it has introduced a new EP2C Type-C headset with built-in DAC. Samsung Exynos Auto 8890 to power in-vehicle infotainment system in new Audi A4 and upcoming models

Samsung Electronics today announced that its Exynos Auto 8890 processor will be powering German automobile manufacturer Audi’s third generation high-spec modular infotainment platform (MIB). The advanced in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system will be equipped as standard in the new A4 and upcoming models. The Exynos Auto 8890 is an Octa-Core CPU which is a combination of Quad-core 1st gen custom CPU and Quad-core Cortex-A53 and is built on the 14nm FinFET process. It has a 12 core Mali -T880 as GPU, LPDD4 RAM, eMMC 5.0, UFS 2.0 storage and supports a maximum of 3 displays at WQUXGA 3840 x 2400 resolution. It can support up to 4 cameras with 4K UHD 60fps encoding and 85fps decoding. The modular infotainment platform(MIB) on the other hand is Audi's third-generation technology and was selected for Audi’s next-generation IVI system in 2017 through Audi’s Progressive SemiConductor Program (PSCP). It was first introduced in Audi A4 and now, the latest generation of the MIB will incorporate Samsung’s Exynos Auto 8890 and power the new Audi A4 and upcoming models. JioSaavn now lets you share songs to Snapchat Stories

JioMusic app was rebranded to JioSaavn with a new look and features last year. Recently, a new feature was rolled out where users could share JioSaavn songs to Facebook and Instagram Stories. In similar lines, the feature is now being extended to Snapchat and JioSaavn will now let you share songs to Snapchat and improve music discovery. JioSaavn has partnered with Snapchat for cross-sharing of music on other apps and improve music discovery for users. The integration will allow users to share what they are listening on JioSaavn directly to Snapchat. The partnership also includes creative tools like Lenses and Filters, as well as content with Publisher Stories. JioSaavn will use Snapchat's 'Snap Creative Kit' which will allow developers to build custom stickers, filters, links, etc and these can be shared from within the JioSaavn app directly to the Snap camera. Google rolls out Gmail ‘Confidential Mode’ for enterprise users [Update: Available for all G Suite users from June 25]

Update: May 29, 2019 — Google has announced that Gmail confidential mode will become generally available for all G Suite users from June 25, 2019. It will be set to default ON, but you can choose to disable this feature. Earlier: In general, the control over your email is lost once you click on send! Having said that, Gmail’s new Confidential Mode tries to give you a bit of control back by offering message expiration dates. What is Confidential mode? With confidential mode, it’s easier to protect sensitive content in your emails by creating expiration dates or revoking previously sent messages, and removing options for recipients to forward, copy, print, and download. To make it more simple, this mode lets you add 'expiration date' to emails, post which the email is no longer viewable by the recipient. This mode helps reduce the risk of confidential information being accidentally shared with the wrong people. Amazon Echo Show 5 with 5.5-inch display, HD camera launched in India for Rs. 8999

Amazon launched Echo Show with a 10-inch display, built-in smart home hub and more in India last month. Expanding the Echo Show lineup, Amazon has today launched Echo Show 5 with a 5.5-inch display, HD camera, rich sound and more. The new Echo Show 5 sports a 5.5-inch touchscreen, has dimensions of 148 x 86 x 73mm and weighs 410 grams. It is powered by MediaTek MT 8163 processor, has two microphones, has support for Dual-band Wi-Fi but does not support connecting to ad-hoc Wi-Fi networks. Amazon is highlighting the 'rich sound' feature on the new Echo Show 5 as it is equipped with a Full range 1.65-inch built-in speaker and also has 3.5 mm stereo audio output for use with external speakers. It also has a 1MP HD camera which is capable of recording 720p videos along with a built-in camera shutter. Microsoft working on new ‘modern OS’ with seamless invisible background updates

Microsoft at the ongoing Computex 2019 dropped pretty big hints about the future of Windows operating system and also showcased Microsoft 365, Windows platform, Azure IoT technologies that device partners can use to deliver modern PC experiences and build a new generation of connected devices and IoT solutions. Microsoft says that the new modern PCs and innovative devices in the ecosystem will require a 'modern operating system' hinting at the future of the Windows operating system. The modern operating system will include 'enablers' like seamless updates where OS updates are invisibly done in the background. The software giant adds that the update experience will be deterministic, reliable, and instant without any interruptions. The modern OS will also be secure by default, which means that the state is separated from the operating system and compute is separated from applications. The OS will work with 5G and include a variety of inputs like pen, voice, touch, even gaze and enables cloud-connected experiences that use the compute power of the cloud to enhance users experiences on their devices. Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 Android Pie One UI update starts rolling out in India

After the Android Pie update for Galaxy M30 earlier this week, Samsung has started rolling out Android 9.0 (Pie) One UI 1.1 update for the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones in India, few days before it had promised. Realme X will be launched in India in second half of 2019 confirms CEO, price hinted
