Nikon Z6 and Z7 full-frame mirrorless cameras launched in India starting at Rs. 1,69,950

Nikon, as promised, launched Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6, as well as NIKKOR Z lenses under the Nikon FX-format mirrorless series in India at an event today. It was introduced in the market a few weeks back. The Nikon Z7 features a full-frame 45.7-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor with an Expeed 6 image processor. It also comes with an ISO range of 64-25,000, a 493-point autofocus system, 9fps continuous shooting and ability to record 4K UHD videos. Moreover, it has a built-in 5 axis vibration reduction, meaning you can expect a stabilised photo and video shoots . The Nikon Z7 sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD OLED panel for displaying basic information, and a 3.69 million dot high-res OLED electronic viewfinder which Nikon says covers approximately 100 percent of the frame. Furthermore, the Z7 offers a completely silent shooting mode, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microphone. Since it is a fresh series, the Z7 rocks a completely new body system dubbed “Z-mount.” Meanwhile, the Z6 packs a 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor with 100-51,200 native ISO, 12 fps continuous shooting. Sony introduces PlayStation Classic mini console with 20 pre-loaded games, two controllers

After 24 years of introduction of the first PlayStation, Sony has introduced the PlayStation Classic, a miniaturised version of the PlayStation Classic that comes pre-loaded with 20 classic titles, including  Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, R4 Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. "The mini console is approximately 45% smaller than the original PlayStation, and it emulates the original’s look and feel by featuring the same controllers and similar packaging," said the company. It comes with an HDMI cable to connect to your TV, alongside two controllers for local multiplayer within compatible titles. The PlayStation was the first home console in video game history to ship 100 million units worldwide. The PlayStation Classic will be available for US $99.99 (Rs. 7,250 approx.) in the U.S  / €99.99 (Rs. 8,470 approx.) in Europe on 3rd December, 2018, the day the first PlayStation was introduced back in 1994 in Japan. Ola announces its plans to foray into New Zealand

Ola has announced its plans to enter New Zealand in areas including Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington. This comes after the successful launch in Australia in February 2018 and the UK in August 2018. To build Ola’s presence locally, Brian Dewil has been appointed as Country Manager for New Zealand.  Brian Dewil previously founded UrbanSherpa, a local courier market and, before his newly appointed role at Ola, he was the Co-Founder and Director of Horizon Robotics, where he implemented robotic technologies to reimagine the way physical goods are transported and delivered. Furthermore, Ola also announced that it is inviting private vehicle owners to learn more about driving and registering with Ola. It currently operates in seven major cities across Australia and has close to 50,000 registered drivers who have completed millions of rides. Chrome OS 69 with support for Linux apps, refreshed UI for files app, night light and more rolling out

Google today announced that Chrome OS 69 stable is rolling out and this update brings the much-awaited Linux support for supported Chromebooks. It also includes other features such as a refreshed UI for browsing the files app, expanded dictation support for text entry, red-tinted Night Light, some tablet-centric tweaks, and more. Chrome OS 69 also marks the final transition to the "Material Design 2.0" which was embraced in Chrome OS 67. The update brings Material Design 2.0 with the rounded rectangular tabs and more. The Night Light and expanded dictation will improve usability and accessibility. Tablet specific improvements like swiping to close apps in the overview, "behavior unification" should come in handy for Chrome OS. The blog post says that the update has just started rolling out, so it might take several days to roll out. Since the list of devices reported to get the v69 stable update is pretty short currently, the devices that support Linux apps would also be limited. Google Home Hub AI smart speaker with 7-inch display surfaces

Back in August, there were reports suggesting that Google is working on a new AI-based smart speaker with a display. There were no other details to go by back then, however, now we are getting to see the full renders of the device along with screenshots of the official product specifications page that provide a complete look at the upcoming smart speaker. Going by the promotional content, Google might call it 'Google Home Hub' and will offer a 7-inch screen and with the ability to interact with the Google Assistant. Much like Smart Speakers from Lenovo, and others, the AI-based smart speaker with a display from Google will have its own limitations. The 7-inch display will display essential information such as the time, weather, and even information related to your daily commute via Google Maps. Besides the display, it features a full-range speaker unit and a mute toggle. The specifications page even confirms that there will be a Charcoal variant, in addition to the white model. Apple released iOS 12.1 beta update earlier today and it suggests landscape Face ID support for upcoming iPad Pro models. Apple CarPlay in iOS 12 now supports Google Maps

Apple today announced that Google Maps is now supported on Apple CarPlay, meaning that iPhone users can now replace Apple Maps with Google Maps for navigation. Google Maps on CarPlay features the same navigation experience found in the app. Search for places, see alternative routes, up to date information about traffic jams and delays happening and more. Google Maps on CarPlay lets you start navigation from your iPhone and immediately pick up where you left off once you’ve connected to CarPlay. Users can also download Maps of an area so that they can see direction even when not connected to the internet. You can access any of your saved lists from Google Maps on CarPlay, and quickly navigate to those places with a single tap. However, iPhones should be running on iOS 12 to use Google Maps on CarPlay. Also, you cannot use Siri to control Maps. The Google Maps is now available to use with CarPlay on all CarPlay supported vehicles and devices globally. YouTube merges Gaming destination to main site; to shut down standalone Gaming app in March 2019

YouTube back in 2015 has launched YouTube Gaming, a standalone app for gamers where it tested new features like Game Pages, Super Chat, dark theme, and Channel Memberships. Today, the company has launched a new Gaming destination; 'youtube.com/gaming' to give gamers a home on YouTube. YouTube on top of the page will show you personalized gaming content based on what you like to watch. You’ll also see top live games and the latest gaming videos from your subscriptions. It is also bringing dedicated shelves for live streams and trending videos. You can now find gaming videos from all over YouTube, related to that specific game on new game pages. These include popular videos, live streams, and other games from the same publisher or developer. It also said that it will highlight gaming creators who are “On The Rise” on the Gaming destination and in Trending. This new YouTube gaming destination launching in the U.S. and said that it will continue to roll this out to more countries in the future. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL surface in more press images, reveals new fabric case

It is known that Google has scheduled the Pixel 3 launch event for October 9th and we already know so much about both the phones, thanks to numerous leaks. While the bigger Pixel 3 XL never backed out from posing to leaksters, the Pixel 3 stayed under the wraps for quite some time. However, that void ends today as both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL surfaced freshly in official press renders. This side by side presentation of both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL shows how both these phones differ. Both phones are shown in a textile cover, something that Google already introduced at the Pixel 2. The Pixel 3 is expected to sport a 5.4-inches display while the Pixel 3 XL will have a large 6.2-inch screen with a notch. Samsung Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+ with 6.0-inch Infinity display officially announced

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+ smartphones with Infinity displays after the listing surfaced online. Both the smartphones have 6-inch HD+ Infinity displays, Quad-Core SoC, which could be Snapdragon 425 as rumored earlier, but the company says that the SoC differs depending on the region. These run Android 8.1 (Oreo) and pack a 3300mAh battery. The J6+ will feature a fingerprint sensor on the right frame as well as dual rear cameras, which the J4+ lacks.
