Google’s Project Fi now offers Unlimited Data for $80 with Bill Protection

Google has introduced a flexible unlimited data plan dubbed 'Bill Protection' on Project Fi making it heavy data user-friendly. Before the new plan, Project Fi charged $10 per GB no matter how much data the user consumes. Technically, the new plan caps the data speed to 256kbps once the user crosses the data limit threshold but still offers data connectivity.  Super heavy data-users can use up to 15GB of data in a month without facing any throttling issues, and once the user crosses the 15GB mark, the speed will be capped at 256kbps until the next cycle. While all the other members of the group plan will get full data speeds until they each use their 15 GB of data. If a user wishes to have high-speed data post the 15GB usage, they can still get additional data by purchasing 1GB data at $10. It should be noted that Project Fi 'Bill Protection' kicks in at different usage points, depending on the size of your group. Facebook-owned WhatsApp back in September last year announced that it it is testing new tools through a closed pilot program that will allow people to communicate with the businesses they want to reach on WhatsApp. Today the company has officially launched standalone WhatsApp Business App for Android that enables small businesses to have a business presence on WhatsApp, communicate more efficiently with your customers, and help grow their business, separating customer and personal messages, and creating an official presence. Honor View 10 gets Face Unlock via OTA update

Honor has announced that it has started rolling out a new software update to enable Face unlock feature through intelligent face recognition in Honor View 10 smartphone. The phone automatically detects it has been picked up, see your face and unlocks in a second. You can enable face recognition from the settings menu and enroll your face simply looking at the camera. It also detects the positioning between you and the phone and adjusts the direction accordingly. It works even when you lie down in bed, since the screen automatically rotates so that you can comfortably read any messages. It also has closed eye unlock prevention, so if eyes are closed, it will not unlock the screen. The phone already has Intelligent lock screen notifications, intelligent screen on, AI Motion detection, AI Zoom and more features. Motorola expands retail footprint in India with 50 Moto Hub stores in New Delhi

Motorola has been expanding its retail footprint across India rapidly. Today the company has announced the opening of 50 new Moto Hubs in New Delhi.  Some of the places include - Telepathy, G-21, Marina Arcade in Connaught Place, Mobile Zone in Janakpuri District Centre, Sigmen Stores in Kalkaji, Sanju Telecom in Lajpat Nagar, TS Group Store near Nehru Place Market. The Moto Hub store will house the entire portfolio of Motorola devices, including the online exclusives such as Moto X4 and Moto MODs as well as accessories like on-ear and in-ear headphones, moto shells and covers. WhatsApp for iPhone gets YouTube integration with picture-in-picture mode

In the last few years, WhatsApp has been busy  adding several value-added features like voice calls, video calls, end-to-end encryption, and the company is even rumored UPI-based WhatsApp payment system. Before that, WhatsApp on iOS has received a new feature, which enables users to watch YouTube video inside the WhatsApp application. This feature was in beta testing for the last few months and now it has been officially rolled out on Apple App store with version number v2.18.11. With this feature one can watch YouTube on a re-sizable floating window and also continue with the conversation. Whenever a user sends a link to a YouTube video, one can watch the video without closing the WhatsApp or going out of the application altogether. Along with this, the new update also fixes some bugs and offers general improvements. You can download the latest version of WhatsApp from the App Store to get this feature. Facebook is testing ‘Watch Party’ to let group of users watch video at same time

Facebook last week said that it is overhauling news feed to highlight posts from friends, family to improve social interactions. Today the company has mentioned that it is testing a new video watching experience called 'Watch Party' to let a group of users watch the same video at the same time. The group of users can watch the video even if isn't broadcasted live. The group watches the videos which are chosen by the Group admins and moderators, and it can be any public videos on Facebook (live or recorded). The group can watch together, and other activities like commenting and reacting to the same moments together.  The feature creates a shared viewing experience which quite looks the engagement during Live. iPhone performance throttling can be disabled with future iOS 11 update, confirms Apple CEO

Recently Apple has been in the news for all the bad reasons, removal of Touch ID, Removal of 3.5 mm headphone jack, and lately throttling down of the older iPhones' performance. Soon after the news broke down, the company clarified and offered a cheaper battery replacement plan (for $29 instead of $79).
