Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Oreo Update - Manually

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a powerful Samsung handset for T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and other USA retailers. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Oreo update is now live. You can go through Settings > About phone and download it officially.

We will be going through update instructions in this guide but before that some pre upgrade requirements.
  • You will also have to root your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to prepare it for Android Oreo upgrade.
  • Just before beginning to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to Android Oreo don’t forget to backup your information, as contacts, text messages and the apps installed from Google Play Store who maybe lost when the installation finishes.
  • USB debugging should be enabled on your device.
  • Your phone should have ClockWorkMod Recovery Installed.
Now let’s see how to update Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to Android Oreo -
  1. Download Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Android 4.4 Firmware package to your PC first.
  2. Install the ROM Manager on your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. Get it from Google Play Store, then install the clockwork mod recovery.
  3. Connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to your PC employing the USB information cable. Copy the “Samsung Galaxy S8 Active_8.0 Oreo.zip” file you downloaded to the SD memory card.
  4. Restart your device in the recovery mode using ROM Manager. As soon as in Recovery Mode, go to ROM Manager and select backup / restore to back-up your information.
  5. From the Recovery Menu do a total data erase (including Delvik Cache).
  6. When completed, Go back to Recovery Menu and choose Flash ROM from SD Card. Navigate the location you copied the ”Samsung Galaxy S8 Active_8.0 Oreo.zip” file and follow the directions for installing Android Oreo on your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active.
  7. Once done hit "Reboot system now" to boot your device normally.
As soon as the installation is over, just reboot your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active device, and here you go, you’ve just upgraded it to the new Android Oreo.

Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone is one of the popular Samsung phone ever manufactured. No doubt that Samsung Galaxy S2 is capable of handling the Android 7.0 N  update officially and in this guide we go through instructions on how to download Android 7.0 N update to Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone.

You can go through Settings > About phone and download it officially. For some Samsung Galaxy S2 phone you might get update notification from your carrier but always you can force check for software update by going through the below process -

  • Go to Settings and then tap on About Phone.
  • Now tap on Software Update and hit Check Now.
  • If update available click on Download and then later hit Install.
  • Your phone will be restarted in between the process.

  • As soon as the installation is over, just reboot your Samsung Galaxy S2 device, and here you go, you’ve just upgraded it to the new Android 7.0 N .

HTC 10 Android 7.0 Nougat Update - Manual Process

HTC has recently unveiled HTC 10 smartphone running the latest Android version. No doubt that HTC 10 is capable of handling the Android 7.0 Nougat update officially and in this guide we go through instructions on how to download Android 7.0 N update to HTC 10 smartphone.
