- You will also have to root your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to prepare it for Android Oreo upgrade.
- Just before beginning to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to Android Oreo don’t forget to backup your information, as contacts, text messages and the apps installed from Google Play Store who maybe lost when the installation finishes.
- USB debugging should be enabled on your device.
- Your phone should have ClockWorkMod Recovery Installed.
- Download Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Android 4.4 Firmware package to your PC first.
- Install the ROM Manager on your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. Get it from Google Play Store, then install the clockwork mod recovery.
- Connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to your PC employing the USB information cable. Copy the “Samsung Galaxy S8 Active_8.0 Oreo.zip” file you downloaded to the SD memory card.
- Restart your device in the recovery mode using ROM Manager. As soon as in Recovery Mode, go to ROM Manager and select backup / restore to back-up your information.
- From the Recovery Menu do a total data erase (including Delvik Cache).
- When completed, Go back to Recovery Menu and choose Flash ROM from SD Card. Navigate the location you copied the ”Samsung Galaxy S8 Active_8.0 Oreo.zip” file and follow the directions for installing Android Oreo on your Samsung Galaxy S8 Active.
- Once done hit "Reboot system now" to boot your device normally.
