Realme Band Unboxing and First Impressions
Last month Madhav Seth, CEO of realme, teased their entry into the wearables market with a fitness band. Yesterday at a launch event, realme introduced the realme Band, which claims to be the cheapest fitness band that comes with a heart-rate sensor. On the bottom of the display, there is a virtual button, which is the only method to directly interface with the band. It connects via Bluetooth 4.2 to any smartphone that is running Android 5.0+ and has the realme Link app installed. On the back side, we see the realme Band's highlight feature, a PPG heart rate sensor, which is unheard of at its price point. It can be turned to automatic or manual sensing via a setting in the realme Link app and so far, from our first impressions, it seemed like it was reporting my heart rate with good accuracy.
