Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro rugged phone with MIL-STD-810G certification, Push-to-Talk connectivity announced

Samsung's lineup of smartphones also include rugged phones (XCover lineup) alongside the Galaxys and Notes and the company launched the Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet earlier this year. Expanding its lineup, Samsung has now announced Galaxy XCover FieldPro rugged smartphone with Samsung Knox security platform, Push-t0-Talk connectivity, and more. Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro flaunts a 5.1-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, is powered by Exynos 9810 Octa-Core CPU paired with 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android Oreo and supports an upgrade to Android 10. Regarding the optics, it sports a single 12MP Dual Aperture rear camera and 8MP front camera along with triple rear LED flash. It sports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, packs a 4500mAh battery with POGO pin charging and it also ships with an extra battery and is field replaceable. As it a rugged smartphone, it is MIL-STD-810G and IP68 certified and according to Samsung, it can survive drops, shocks and vibrations to extreme temperatures, rain, blowing dust and even a half-hour in five-foot-deep water.
