Geekbench 5 cross-platform benchmark with support for Vulkan graphics, new Compute workloads released
Primate Labs has released Geekbench 5, the next major version of powerful cross-platform benchmark tool, after 3 years of the release of Geekbench 4. It brings support for Vulkan graphics, adds new Compute workloads and Dark Mode on macOS. Geekbench 5 is 64-bit only, dropping support for 32-bit processors and operating systems. The Geekbench 5 adds new workloads that measure CPU performance in cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning, augmented reality, and computational photography. It has existing workloads to use larger data sets to better measure the effect memory performance has on CPU performance. Geekbench 5's GPU Compute Benchmark now includes support for Vulkan, the next-generation cross-platform graphics, along with CUDA, Metal, and OpenCL. Vulkan Compute Benchmarks are available on Android, Windows, and Linux. Geekbench 5 also includes new Compute workloads that measure the performance of computer vision and computational photography algorithms that are typically GPU-accelerated in applications. Geekbench 5 includes a refreshed results interface with full support for Dark Mode on macOS 10.14. Dark Mode support will be available on iOS 13 later this year. Geekbench 5 for Windows, macOS, and Linux is available for download on the Geekbench website. Geekbench 5 for iOS (Free) and Geekbench 5 Pro for iOS ...
