Microsoft schedules hardware event in New York on October 2; Dual screen Surface expected

Microsoft has scheduled a hardware event in New York City on October 2. The company has been having separate launch events from the past couple of years and this year, Microsoft is expected to introduce a range of Surface models including a Dual screen Surface. Microsoft is expected to introduce a new Dual screen Surface device and it has been building the same with the code name "Centaurus" and Microsoft also demonstrated this device at an internal meeting earlier this year. But few reports also suggest that Microsoft might reserve the Centaurus device for 2020. Reports suggest that Microsoft could also introduce a Qualcomm-8cx based Surface ARM device and it is said to be an always-connected PC with support for LTE. The Surface Laptop and Surface Pro hardware could finally come with USB Type-C port this year, but the Intel-based Surface Pro devices won't likely come with in-built LTE support and it could be only included in ARM-based devices. Apart from this, Microsoft could also announce its HoloLens 2 device and it could also refresh the Surface Book and Surface Go tablet. We should know more information on October 2nd when Microsoft makes the official announcements. Source 1, 2
