Sony confirms Android 9.0 Pie update for range of Xperia smartphones, Xperia XA1 series not getting it

After a report, Sony Mobile has officially confirmed the list of its smartphones that will get Android 9.0 (Pie) update. This includes its flagship smartphones, but the first-generation Xperia X and XZ series are being left out with an exception to the XZ Premium. Likewise, the XA1 series that were launched last year are left out, and only the XA2 series that were launched this year are getting updated to Android Pie.
