HTC confirms Android 9.0 (Pie) update for some of its devices

Google released Android 9.0 (Pie) earlier this week for its Pixel devices and also said that it is working with several OEMs to roll out the update. Now HTC has confirmed Pie update for its flagship smartphones, including the HTC U11 that was introduced running Android 7.1 (Nougat). It is also the first company to confirm the update for several devices. We're pleased as pie to confirm updates to Android Pie for the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and U11 life (Android One). Timeframes for roll-out will be announced in due course. Android Pie comes with lots of new features and improvements including navigation gestures, Adaptive Battery that uses machine learning to prioritize system resources for the apps, App Actions, and more. HTC is expected to add more devices to this list in future and it will reveal time frame for the roll out soon.
