Samsung is on the verge of rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update to the Galaxy Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. While the exact date is unknown, a note posted by the company in the Samsung Members app for Korean users hints at a possible roll out of Oreo for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge around mid-May. Both the devices are recently certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance running the new firmware, so it should be a matter of few days until the update starts rolling out. All U.S. carrier variants have also been certified on Oreo. Guncelmiyiz, a website run by Samsung Turkey that provides time frames for firmware updates has recently updated with a new schedule stating that the Oreo update for Galaxy S7 will be out by May 18. Since the timeframes on this website often tend to change, there's no telling if this timeframe is granted.
