YouTube dynamic player for square and vertical videos now rolling out for Android
YouTube's dynamic player was available on iOS since December, and now it is rolling out to Android as well. The dynamic player will automatically adjust according to content in different aspect ratios. Given the popularity of apps like Snapchat, Instagram, videos are captured in different aspect ratio. Along with vertical, square-shaped recordings, we also have the traditional horizontal clip. YouTube for Android will now automatically adjust and do its best to fill the screen with video and get rid of the black bars. [HTML1] The square and vertical videos will fill up the screen with the usual video title, toolbar, and suggestions. This means that as you scroll, the video will continue to play as the window shrinks to the usual horizontal shape. However, it doesn't fully display vertical 16:9 content, instead, it cuts off the top and bottom. It still gives the ability to go full-screen by tapping the expand icon and will adapt to the video shape, in the bottom-right corner. The feature is now widely rolling out to Android device globally and to check if its available to you, just open YouTube and start a video.
