Google Drive will use AI to intelligently organize “Shared with Me” files
Google Drive is always clumsy with shared files especially if you are using G Suite business applications. Google with the latest update is aiming to clean up the mess by using its artificial intelligence. It will now organize the “Shared with Me” section so you can also see people listed, along with files they’ve shared with you. You can click on a document to quickly open it and you can also Search for content by the owner which is now the most popular way to search for files in Drive. This means that the revamped interface will use AI to predict which files and file owners you're most likely to access. The interface will now show "quick access" on the right corner top which shows tiles for different people with files that they have shared with you. Down below, you will see the shared files in your account, that are organized whichever way you want. This update will be rolling to all G Suite editions and end users in the next two weeks and the company is promising to roll out more AI-powered optimizations in the coming months. Source
