Vivo APEX FullView Concept Smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner, 98% screen-to-body ratio announced

Vivo back at the CES 2018 show introduced the first smartphone with in-display optical fingerprint and today, APEX FullView Concept Smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner, 98% screen-to-body ratio. The company is using its FullView technology in breakthroughs to the camera, speaker, and sensor elements. It is the world’s first Half-Screen Fingerprint Scanning Technology, following the industry’s first mass-produced In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Smartphone X20 Plus UD. It features slim top and side bezels at 1.8mm and a 4.3mm bottom bezel which is the thinnest in the industry. The screen-to-body ratio is expected to be around 98% if the bottom bezel reaches 1.8mm, ultimately creating a truly bezel-less experience. Taking advantage of its audio technologies, Vivo introduced Screen SoundCasting Technology with APEX, that transforms the entire FullView Display into a speaker. The Screen SoundCasting Technology sends vibrations through the display without the need for a traditional loudspeaker. It conserves power, reduces sound leakage, and optimizes low to high pith sound for a better and more balanced audio experience. Furthermore, APEX features an 8MP Elevating front camera which seamlessly rises in 0.8 seconds when it is required and retracts after use.
