Android Oreo adoption rate climbs to 1.1%, Nougat is now on 28.5% devices

Google is out with Android distribution numbers for the month of January with an Oreo adoption rate now moving past 1% at 1.1%, including the recently rolled out Android 8.1 Oreo.  The Oreo adoption is now 1.1% which is a solid 0.4% increase from last month. The Nougat including both Android 7.0 and Android 7.1 Nougat adoption rate has now jumped to 28.5% from 26.3% in December which is a steady growth. Android 6.0 Marshmallow adoption rate has declined again and is now at 28.1% down from 28.6%. The Lollipop operating system adoption now stands at 24.6% down from 25.1%. The KitKat OS now stands at 12% down from 12.8% shows the adoption of the latest OS. The Jellybean is currently at 5% down from 5.6%. Gingerbread and Ice cream sandwich are at 0.3% and 0.4% respectively. Like always all the data is collected before the 7-day period ending on February 8th, 2017, according to Google and Any versions with less than 0.1% distribution are not shown. Source
