Amazon to launch game streaming service, several massively multiplayer online games
The gaming industry has been on a steady growth with some spiked increases in the last few years. Now, Amazon is planning its entry into game development next month with the launch of its first science-fiction shooter game called Crucible. Along with Crucible, it plans to launch "New World" which is a massively multiplayer online game. The game "Crucible" has been in development by Relentless in Seattle since 2014 and is the result of Amazon's long term investments in the Gaming industry and the original entertainment industry. Along with Crucible, Amazon plans to release another game called "New World", which is a massively multiplayer online game developed by another game studio in Irvine, California. Amazon is heavily focussed in bringing its cloud computing technologies into the video gaming space. They are reportedly working on a competitor to Google's Stadia, called Project Tempo which may debut next year, and they have also developed a game processing engine called Lumberyard that incorporates Amazon's cloud computing power. realme announced Android 10 based realme UI a couple of months ago and started rolling out the update for eligible devices as per the schedule shared by the company. realme UI brings tons of new features such as dual earphone connection, animated wallpapers, screen-off display, customizable icon shape, new charging animation, realme Share (cross-brand file-sharing technology) and more. Google Maps releases COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports to help healthcare officials
Many companies are introducing special measures to help people combat the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Recently, Uber launched its UberMedic Service to help healthcare officials and the Government of India launched the AarogyaSetu mobile app earlier today. On similar lines, Google Maps now has released the COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports to help healthcare officials as they make critical decisions during this time. Google Maps' Community Mobility Reports for COVID-19 will provide insights about the places prior to the lockdown and what has changed now as people are working from home, shelter, and other policies. All these are aimed at flattening the curve of COVID-19 and Google says that stringent privacy policies and protocols are followed while developing these reports. The reports include the most recent information, trends over several weeks across places like residential, groceries, pharmacies, parks, retail, parks, recreation, workplaces, and transit stations. These are aggregated, anonymized data and will show a percentage point increase or decrease in visits and not the absolute number of visits. Apple AirTags hinted in Apple Support YouTube video
Earlier this year, popular Apple Analyst Ming Chi Kuo mentioned a possible new product that Apple is planning to release this year, which utilizes Ultra Wide technology (UWB) technology. With the name Airtags, the product is seemingly confirmed as it appeared on a video that was uploaded on Apple's support page. Apple Airtags will supposedly use the new U1 chip, found on the iPhone 11 series and UWB to let users keep track of an object of their choice, like keys, backpacks, cycles, etc. It will likely compete with Tile, which is a well known product that helps keep track of personal belongings. The video that was posted has been taken down since, but some details have already been noted. The video, titled "How to erase your iPhone", mentioned the Airtags in a setting found under Settings > Apple ID > Find My > Find My iPhone→Enable Offline Finding. Offline Finding will mean that the Airtags will work without Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, which is great. Xiaomi introduces Mi AirDots Pro 2s with Bluetooth 5.0, wireless charging case with up to 24h battery life
Xiaomi at its China event also introduced the Mi AirDots Pro 2s, which is an upgraded version of the Mi AirDots Pro 2 that was introduced last year. This has the same design and comes with Bluetooth 5.0, LDHC Hi-Res audio codec, smart voice controls, dual microphones for environmental noise cancellation (ENC), 14.2mm drivers and automatically connects with the phone running MIUI when you open the case and pick up the earphones, but the company says that it has improved dual Bluetooth chip so that the latency between the headsets and the interference are reduced offering more stable connection. Another addition is the new case with Qi wireless charging support.
