realme releases Android 10 based Kernel Sources for realme 3 Pro and realme 5 Pro

realme has been rolling out Android 10 based realme UI 1.0 to the eligible devices as per the official schedule. realme 3 Pro, realme XT, realme 5 Pro, realme X, realme X2 and realme X2 Pro have already received Android 10 based realme UI 1.0 update so far, the company will update realme 3 and 3i to realme UI 1.0 this month. Apple AirTags hinted in Apple Support YouTube video

Earlier this year, popular Apple Analyst Ming Chi Kuo mentioned a possible new product that Apple is planning to release this year, which utilizes Ultra Wide technology (UWB) technology. With the name Airtags, the product is seemingly confirmed as it appeared on a video that was uploaded on Apple's support page. Apple Airtags will supposedly use the new U1 chip, found on the iPhone 11 series and UWB to let users keep track of an object of their choice, like keys, backpacks, cycles, etc. It will likely compete with Tile, which is a well known product that helps keep track of personal belongings. The video that was posted has been taken down since, but some details have already been noted. The video, titled "How to erase your iPhone", mentioned the Airtags in a setting found under Settings > Apple ID > Find My > Find My iPhone→Enable Offline Finding. Offline Finding will mean that the Airtags will work without Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, which is great. Xiaomi introduces Mi AirDots Pro 2s with Bluetooth 5.0, wireless charging case with up to 24h battery life

Xiaomi at its China event also introduced the Mi AirDots Pro 2s, which is an upgraded version of the Mi AirDots Pro 2 that was introduced last year. This has the same design and comes with Bluetooth 5.0, LDHC Hi-Res audio codec, smart voice controls, dual microphones for environmental noise cancellation (ENC), 14.2mm drivers and automatically connects with the phone running MIUI when you open the case and pick up the earphones, but the company says that it has improved dual Bluetooth chip so that the latency between the headsets and the interference are reduced offering more stable connection. Another addition is the new case with Qi wireless charging support. This also offers up to 24 hours battery life compared to 14 hours in the predecessor and the standalone battery life of up to 5 hours compared to 4 hours. Xiaomi celebrating its 10th Anniversary introduced Redmi Brand, the first band under the Redmi brand in China. It has a 1.08-inch square color display, promises up to 14 days of battery life and comes with built-in charging port that plugs into a USB-A port on the charger, laptop or PC so that you don't want to be searching for the charging cable. Facebook launches Messenger desktop app for Windows and macOS

It is video chatting season for everyone in quarantine and with Zoom rising to popularity, Facebook has decided to enter the fray with a desktop app for its Messenger, both for macOS and Windows. It features group videos calls, chat sync across, dark mode and more. One of the difficulties with most group chatting apps is the complexity involved in just inviting everyone into the chat. With nearly everyone, including family and friends on Facebook, it is definitely easier to connect with them as they will likely have a Messenger account by default. And since it is a desktop app, you can continue running it in the background, while doing other things on your desktop. There are push notifications support (which is not a surprise), and it can be muted or snoozed on a per chat basis. Chats will naturally be synced across all devices and the Facebook has also added support for Dark Mode, GIFs emoji. Government of India launches ArogyaSetu app to track COVID-19 infection

The Government of India has launched AarogyaSetu mobile app developed in public-private partnership to enable people to assess themselves the risk for their catching the Coronavirus infection. The app tracks through a Bluetooth and GPS generated social graph and your interaction with someone who could have tested COVID-19 positive. Once installed, the app detects other devices with AarogyaSetu installed that come in the proximity of that phone. The app can then calculate the risk of infection based on sophisticated parameters if any of these contacts is tested positive. The Government says that this will help them take necessary timely steps for assessing risk of spread of COVID-19 infection, and ensuring isolation where required. You need to give permission for Bluetooth, location and data sharing to use this app, however personal data collected by the app is encrypted and stays secure on the phone till it is needed for facilitating medical intervention, says the government.
