Google cancels its popular April Fools’ Day jokes this year due to coronavirus outbreak

HUAWEI to introduce new Smart Screen flagship with pop-up camera on April 8
HUAWEI today announced that it will introduce new flagship Smart Screen, the company's flagship smart TV with a pop-up camera in China on April 8th. The teaser shows the TV with a larger pop-up camera and narrow upper bezel compared to previous generation, but doesn't give any other hints. It will likely feature a 4K HDR QLED screen similar to the first two models that were introduced recently. The built-in AI camera in the predecessor can record 1080p videos with intelligent adjustment according to the subject, and can perform AI adaptation according to the home environment, so the new Smart Screen should come with additional features. Google Play Store update adds Material Theme account switcher
Google has been bringing changes to several of its apps like Photos, Gmail, Maps, etc lately. Smooth gesture to switch accounts was added to Maps, Gmail, etc and on similar lines now, Google has started rolling out Material Theme account switcher for the Play Store and this comes after a revamp last year. With the latest Play Store update, the top right part shows the user's profile image and tapping the profile image opens up a full menu that displays the Google accounts present on the device and it also lets you add another account and manage accounts. Similar to Gmail, a quick swipe down gesture on the profile image allows you to quickly switch accounts. WhatsApp Status video limit reduced to 15 seconds in India temporarily
Back in 2017 WhatsApp introduced status feature that allows users to post photos, videos and GIFs that disappear after 24 hours. At the time of launch WhatsApp allowed 90 seconds to three minutes of video and if the existing video is larger than 16MB if gave an option to trim the length of the video before sending it. Later the limit was reduced to 30 seconds. In a move to promote working from home Reliance Jio earlier this week announced that all JioFiber users will get double data across all plans. The company has finally started rolling out double data vouchers for the customers. If you have 100GB plan, you will get 100GB voucher, 200GB voucher for 200GB plan etc. This is also applicable for those who have already recharged quarterly, semi-annual and annual plans, you the number of vouchers will increase based on the months. You can redeem the additional data from the "My vouchers" tab in the MyJio app. This will be added to your plan and can be used after your existing data get over. The validity of your voucher will be according to the validity of the plan. Similarly, Jio already updated all new recharge plans with double data. Jio already said that it will provide Basic JioFiber broadband connectivity with a speed of 10Mbps wherever it is geographically feasible without any service charges. Also, the company will offer home gateway routers with a minimum refundable deposit.
