Samsung begins mass production of 512GB eUFS 3.1 storage chips with 1200MBps write speeds

Samsung Electronics, worlds leading manufacturer of storage technologies, has begun mass production of its 512GB eUFS 3.1 chips that are designed for flagship smartphones. It is capable of 3 times the sequential write performance and 1.6 times the random read of previous generation eUFS 3.0 storage chips. The new chip marks the first time a smartphone storage chip will break the 1GB/s performance threshold. With sequential write speed of over 1,200MB/s, the chip is is capable of over ten times the write speeds of a UHS-I microSD card (90MB/s). Random performance has been increased too, with 100,000 read IOPS and 70,000 IOPS for writes. Samsung will also have 256GB and 128GB capacities for flagship smartphones that will be released later in the year. Commenting on the start of production, Cheol Choi, executive vice president of Memory Sales & Marketing at Samsung Electronics said: With our introduction of the fastest mobile storage, smartphone users will no longer have to worry about the bottleneck they face with conventional storage cards. Microsoft Xbox Series X specs revealed — 3.8GHz AMD Zen 2 CPU, 16GB GDDR6, 52CU Navi GPU, 1TB NVME SSD

In a surprise to nearly everyone, Microsoft has unveiled detailed specifications of its upcoming next generation console, the Xbox Series X ahead of launch later this year. Powered by an AMD Zen 2 CPU and RDNA 2-class GPU, the console will have many new exciting features that were exclusively supported on PC's till now like 4K 60fps, hardware accelerated ray tracings and more. Motorola Edge+ 5G phone with 6.67-inch waterfall 90Hz display, Snapdragon 865, 108MP camera surfaces [Update: Press Image]

Update: March 17, 2020 — Press images of the Motorola Edge+ have surfaced in Blue and Red colors, thanks to @evleaks. This shows the phone's waterfall punch-hole screen, 108MP main rear camera with OIS. Earlier: Motorola has been in a launch spree as the company recently launched the Moto G8, G Stylus, Moto G Power and will be soon launching the razr foldable phone. Following that, the company's flagship Motorola Edge+ has now surfaced along with key specifications and the new logo has been surfaced as well. Motorola Edge+ is said to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved 90Hz display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM. On the optics front, it is said to feature a 108MP sensor and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the recent FCC (Federal Communications Commission) listing has revealed the new logo of Motorola Edge+ and more diagrams reveal the mmWave 5G antenna locations. Realme 2 Pro gets Airtel and Jio VoWiFi, March Android Security Patch with the latest update

Redmi K30 Pro 5G with no-notch display, pop-up camera, Snapdragon 865 to be announced on March 24

Update: March 17, 2020 - Redmi has confirmed that the K20 Pro will be introduced in China on March 24. The company has also posted an image of the phone's glass back and metal frame that shows 64MP quad rear cameras, pop-up camera, 3.5mm audio jack and possible an IR sensor on the top, which the K20 Pro did not have. Earlier: Xiaomi's Redmi brand has started teasing the launch of Redmi K30 Pro, the company's flagship smartphone ahead of announcement in March. The company has confirmed no-notch screen with pop-up camera, similar to the Redmi K20. It has also confirmed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 865 and will support 5G. It should run Android 10 with MIUI 11. Other specifications are not known yet, but it is expected to feature FHD+ AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint scanner, LPDDR5 RAM, 40W fast charging, retain the 3.5 headphone jack, and a slightly bigger 4700mAh battery compared to the predecessor.
