FINGERS, a manufacturer of digital accessories for smartphones and computers has launched two new power banks called the Pro Wireless and the Fuel+. They feature large 10000 mAh batteries in a slim scratch-resistant shell design with USB-C PD, Quick Charge and more. The FINGERS Pro wireless is a 2-1 portable power bank capable of charging devices via both wired and wirelessly. With its 10,000mAh 'A' Grade Li-Polymer battery, it can charge devices via its 2 USB ports (1 USB-A and 1 USB-C) simultaneously with a Qi-compatible device. The Fuel+ power bank, on the other hand, features 2 USB-A ports, a single USB-C port, a digital display for battery status all packaged in a slim and ultra-light design. Both power banks feature Power Delivery (PD) fast-charging that delivers the precise amount of power and Quick Charge (QC) Technology that reduces its self-charging time by 40%. Google Assistant-powered ‘Ambient Mode’ starts rolling out to OnePlus devices
Google released the Android 10 operating system earlier last year which brought in several new features like Dark Mode, native 5G support, Focus mode, and more. It also introduced the new 'Ambient Mode' which essentially turns any android smartphone into a smart display. While it was available on a handful of Lenovo tablets and Nokia smartphones, 'Ambient Mode' is now rolling out to OnePlus devices as well. OnePlus has partnered with Google to bring 'Ambient Mode' to a range of OnePlus devices and OnePlus says that this Google assistant powered Ambient Mode will be available on OnePlus 3 and above. WorkIndia secures Rs. 42 crore funding from Xiaomi
WorkIndia, one of India's largest blue collar recruitment platform has announced that it has secured an investment of Rs. 42 crores from Chinese technology company, Xiaomi. They had earlier received funding from multiple other investments include Beenext Pte Ltd., Asuka Investments and more. Optoma P1 Smart 4K UHD HDR Ultra Short Throw projector launched in India
Optoma, a leading brand in projection and audio products has launched their flagship P1 4K ultra short throw-type projector in India. The projector features a laser projection system, support for HDR10, Dolby Digital 2.0, a built-in integrated sounder with Bluetooth capabilities and more. The Optoma P1 belongs to the ultra short throw class of projectors. China smartphone market shipped 366.7 million units, dipping 7.5% in 2019 as threat of Coronavirus looms: Report
While China remains as the biggest smartphone market in the world, it saw a decline in 2019 by about 7.5%, shipping about 366.7 million units in total. Q4 2019 was not a good quarter either as a decline of 15.6% YoY was reported, with the shipment volume coming up to 86.2 million. The top 5 manufactures in China for Q4 2019 are HUAWEI, Vivo, OPPO, Apple and Xiaomi. HUAWEI maintained its lead in the Chinese smartphone market for now, with the popular Mate 30 series, other 5G products along with strong brand appeal and channel management sustaining its growth. Vivo dominated the mid-range segment with its popular iQOO and S series, selling over 14.1 million units in Q4 2019. OPPO found itself at 3rd place, also shipping 14.1 million units as it launched over 8 models for the Reno series, ranging from mid to high end smartphones. Apple and Xiaomi were at 4th and 5th respectively, shipping 12.4 and 8 million units respectively. Vodafone launches new Rs. 499 prepaid plan with Unlimited Calling, 70 days validity
Late last year, Vodafone Idea and other telecom operators revised prepaid plans and increased tariffs by up to 40%. After revising the tariff, Vodafone came up with a new Rs. 997 prepaid plan recently and following that, now Vodafone has launched the new Rs. 499 prepaid plan which is positioned below Rs. 599 plan and above Rs. 398 plan. Vodafone Rs. 499 prepaid plan comes with benefits like 1.5GB of data per day, Unlimited Calls, 100 SMS per day, and has a validity of 70 days. The additional benefits include the Vodafone Play subscription worth Rs. 499 and ZEE5 subscription worth Rs. 999. In comparison, Airtel's Rs. 449 prepaid plan offers 2GB of data per day, Truly Unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, but comes with just 56 days validity. Similarly, Jio's Rs. 444 prepaid plan offers 2GB of data per day, Truly Unlimited calls (only Jio to Jio), 100 SMS per day, and comes with 56 days validity. Vodafone's new Rs. 499 plan is not available in all circles but is expected to available pan India soon.

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand announced its entry into the power bank category with two new power banks back in July last year and now, the company has launched the 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks in India. Redmi branded power banks have been launched alongside the Redmi 8A Dual smartphone. It comes with USB Type-C and micro USB inputs, as well as two USB Type-A output. Both these feature a polycarbonate body, feature a button on the side to view the charge left using LED indicators. It also lets you enable low-power mode that can be activated by pressing the button twice, to charge devices like Mi Band and Mi Bluetooth headset. Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the Redmi 8A Dual, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with Dot Notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 SoC with up to 3GB RAM and runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top, same as the Redmi 8A.
