Paytm launches All-in-one POS devices for SMEs

Paytm has launched a new Android based All-in-one POS device that will help merchants accept payment through a variety of methods. The machine can accept Paytm Wallet, all UPI based apps, Debit & Credit Cards, Cash and is loaded with billing, payments, and customer management software. The device has a full-size display and is filled with robust features that are designed to improve the productivity for businesses. Merchants will not only be able to accept payments with the device, but it can also generate GST compliant bills and synchronise transactions and settlements through the ‘Paytm for Business’ app. Other inbuilt industry specific solutions include Restaurant Management, TicketNew, Insider.in and more. Restaurant Management help accept orders of individual tables and directly relay them to the kitchen while TicketNew and Insider.in help event organizers and movie halls to directly issue tickets with the device. The device has already conducted several pilots with partners like IRCTC who have used the device bill food items sold inside trains. Samsung introduces Flashbolt 3rd Generation HBM2E memory with up to 3.2Gbps transfer speeds

Samsung Electronics has announced their newest 3rd generation High Bandwidth Memory 2E (HBM2E) called the Flashbolt. It is a successor to the 2nd generation Aquabolt with double the capacity at 16GB and higher stable transfer speeds at 3.2Gbps. The new memory design with higher speeds and higher capacity make it ideal for high performance computing (HPC). Flashbolt doubles the memory capacity when compared to Aquabolt from 8GB to 16GB modules. It offers reliable transfer speeds up to 3.2 gigabits per second (Gbps), while offering a memory bandwidth of 410GB/s per stack. Peak transfer speeds have been reported as 4.2Gbps with 538GB/s memory bandwidth per stack. Samsung will continue to sell its 2nd generation Aquabolt lineup while slowly ramping up volume production for Flashbolt. They are looking to strengthen ecosystem partnerships for its next generation products to transition the industries HBM solutions. POCO X2 MIUI Software Update Tracker [Kernel Sources released]

POCO launched the POCO X2 smartphone in India earlier today running MIUI 11.0 Global Stable on top of Android 10. This is a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G which was launched in China back in December. FINGERS, a digital accessories manufacturer, has launched their new portable speaker called the SuperLit, which features RGB lights in front of its drivers. The speaker connects via Bluetooth 5.0, stereo performance,TWS technology and a variety of other inputs. Powering the speaker are two 45mm drivers, both with an output of 10W, giving the speaker with a good thumping bass that's distortion free along with high clarity. For inputs, the speaker can connect via Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, MicroSD Card, USB or 3.5mm Aux input. It has onboard controls that give users full control over music playback. The RGB lights will glow to the rhythm of the music and the inbuilt mic lets users take calls straight from the speakers. It also features TWS technology through which users can connect two SuperLit speakers to be connected simultaneously with synchronized sound and lights. OnePlus tops premium smartphone shipments with 33% market share in India in 2019

Renders of the OnePlus 8 series are already floating on the Internet, hinting at the imminent launch in a few weeks. Today, Counterpoint Research has published a report on India’s premium smartphone market growth. According to the report, OnePlus has cemented its position as the market leader in the Indian premium smartphone segment, with a huge 33% of the market share in 2019. Apple TV and Apple TV+ now rolling out to select 2019 LG TVs

The Apple TV+ app was announced in March of 2019, claiming that it will offer support on LG and other TV's later in the future along with Airplay 2 support. Now with an OTA update, the Apple TV, Apple TV+ and Airplay 2 in now available on select 2019 LG TVs. The update will be available for over 80 countries for the 2019 LG TV models. Support for the Apple TV+ app, Airplay 2 and Homekit will come to all LG’s 2019 OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs (series SM9X and SM8X) and later this month, the Apple TV app will roll out on select UHD TVs ( UM7X and UM6X). The Apple TV app gives users access to Apple TV channels with direct subscriptions to premium video services available both online and offline, ad-free and on demand. Alphabet records $46 billion revenue, up 19% YoY in Q4 2019, $4.7 billion from YouTube ads

Google's parent company, Alphabet has released its earnings report for the fourth quarter of 2019, including the fiscal year of 2019. They posted a growth of 17% in Q4 compared to last year with approx $46 billion in revenue. For the entire year, Alphabet reported $162 billion in total revenue, up 18% year over year and up 20% on a constant currency basis. This year was the first time Alphabet disclosed its YouTube Advertisement revenue. The company had historically been very secretive with this number for unknown reasons. Now, with this report, we know that YouTube ads alone generated a revenue of a whopping ~$15 billion for the year 2019. They record a net income of approximately $10.6 billion for Q4 2019, calculating to a growth of 19.25% YoY. For the year 2019, net income was recorded at $34.3 billion which a YoY increase of 11.73%. Its diluted EPS grew to $15.35 in Q4 2019 from $12.77 in Q3 2018. The number of employees in 2019 was reported as 118,899, up from 98,771 in 2018. Google now lets users to browse plans across several mobile carriers, compare discounts and offers, and recharge these plans using the payment with a simple Google Search. This search experience is currently available for users that have signed-in using their Android devices, and collates prepaid service plans from Airtel, Vodafone-Idea, Jio and BSNL across India, said the search engine giant. How it works On your Android phone, open the browser and login using your account, and search for “prepaid mobile recharge” and enter phone number, operator, and circle. Tap Browse plans to view available prepaid plans. After a user chooses a plan, they are given a list of valid offers from all the providers who can fulfill the selected plan. The user can then tap a provider to complete checkout through the provider’s app or mobile payment service providers such as Mobikwik, Paytm, FreeCharge and Google Pay. When the user completes the transaction, the provider’s confirmation page includes a Back to Google button that directs the user back to Search.
