Samsung Galaxy Z Flip said to feature Dynamic AMOLED bendable ‘Ultra Thin Glass’, Dual 12MP cameras, side-mounted fingerprint scanner
Samsung is all set to introduce its second-generation foldable smartphone at the Unpacked 2020 on February 11. Now details about the Galaxy Z Flip (Previously called Galaxy Bloom) have started surfacing. Earlier rumors said that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED display and a cover display. According to the latest rumors, the Galaxy Z Flip will feature 'Samsung Ultra Thin Glass', and there will be crease when the screen folds. The rumor also says that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus, and not the Snapdragon 865. It is said to come with 1-inch front display lets you check charging speeds and battery info and will also work as a view finder for the camera for better rear camera selfies. The phone is said to feature dual 12MP rear cameras, one wide and an ultra-wide cameras, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 15W charging as well as support for wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Vivo’s iQOO to launch Snapdrgon 865-powered 5G phone in India in February
Vivo announced iQOO (stands for 'I Quest On and On') sub-brand in China last year, and has launched several smartphones since then in its home ground, including iQOO Pro 5G. Now the company has confirmed that it will launch its first product for the Indian market in February. It also plans to launch 4G smartphones in the country with high-end specifications. The iQOO phone will be India’s first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform and will also feature 5G support. iQOO said that it will be backed by robust performance capabilities in the charging, gaming, and design department, providing phone phonetics uninterrupted content consumption, according to the company. iQOO will be selling its phones in India through online platforms initially, and plans to sell its phones via offline stores in the future. OnePlus 6 and 6T OxygenOS 10.3.1 update brings multiple bug fixes, December Android security patch and more
OnePlus has released an incremental OS update to the OnePlus 6 and 6T that fixes multiple small system wide bugs like black screens appearing after unlocking the device with a fingerprint, device heating issues when charging, random disconnection issue with 5Ghz Hotspot and more. There are also fixes to the camera, specifically the camera crash issues and image preview times in the Pro mode. As usual, this is a staged rollout with limited users receiving it today and a broader rollout in a few days. The update is only an incremental one with a size of 80MB and also brings the Android Security Patch to December 2019. Google I/O 2020 scheduled from May 12-14, Android 11 and more expected
Google, following the trend it follows every year, has set the I/O conference at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California this year too. The event will kick start on May 12th and go through until the 11th. At the conference, Google is expected to introduce Android 11 and updates to its products. Last year at the I/O Google introduced Android Q, after that it changed the name to Android 10, so we can expect Android 11 this year. Before the official announcement of Android 11, Google should release the developers' beta sometime in March giving the company a good 45 days time to beta test the OS and shape it for I/O. Like every time, the company has not officially announced the dates immediately instead, it had shared a puzzle like last time and users on Twitter are fast enough to decode the dates. Telegram has now been updated with version 5.14 and the new update brings Polls 2.0, the option to modify chat bubble corners and a download progress bar for Android. Twitter Direct Messages gets support for emoji reactions
Twitter has been making changes to its mobile app as well as the desktop version with new features like Reddit-like conversation layout for replies, Hide Replies, ability to follow specific topics, Snooze feature, and more. On similar lines now, Twitter has now added emoji reactions to Direct Messages (DM) similar to emoji reactions on Facebook. Starting today, users can react to Direct Messages with emoji and it can be added to both text as well as media attachments. Emoji reaction can be added either by double-tapping the message and choosing the emojis that pop up or click the reaction button (heart and plus icon). Users can also undo a reaction at any time and it will be removed from the message for all participants. Furthermore, users can click or tap on a reaction in a conversation to view who reacted to the message. As of now, the list of emojis includes a face with tears of joy, astonished face, crying face, red heart emoji, lit, thumbs up, and thumbs down.
