Realme Buds Air Neo true wireless earbuds get certified

After rumors, the realme Buds Air Neo, a cheaper version of the realme Buds Air has been certified by the National Communication Commission (NCC) with the model number RMA205. This confirms a similar case and design, but it shows a micro USB charging port for the case and it will not likely come with wireless charging. The case also confirms 400mAh battery for the case and 25mAh battery for each headset. Hope the battery life is better than the 3 hours standalone playback in the realme Buds Air. It is not clear if this will feature environmental noise cancellation. The Realme Buds Air Neo is expected to be priced less than Rs. 3000 and could be introduced next month. Google introduces 3 new interesting Digital Wellbeing experiments to help reduce smartphone usage

Google's Digital Wellbeing experiments are interesting quirky little experiments designed by Google that are aimed at reducing the usage of smartphones in our daily lives. The idea is to see how long the users can go without tearing the phone out of the envelope. HP expands Chromebook lineup with launch of 4 new models starting from $259

In the education space, the Chromebook is easily the most dominant type of laptop device for teachers and students. HP has now launched 4 new models in the budget Chromebook market with sizes ranging from 11 inches to 14 inches, with prices starting under $300 (approx. Rs. 21362). Beginning at 11-inch models, HP released the 11 G8 EE and 11A G8 EE, with spill-resistant keyboards and MIL-STD 810G standard testing. Both also come with a HD IPS touchscreen option and storage options between 16GB and 64GB. The main difference between the two products comes down to the processor where the 11A has a dual-core AMD APU (the 1.8 GHz A6-9220C or 1.6 GHzA6-9120C), while the 11 has dual- and quad-core Intel options (N4000, N4020, N4100, N4120). The 2-in-1 HP Chromebook 11 x360 features a 360 hinge to rotate the screen completely, Intel Chipsets and even comes with an optional active Wacom EMR pen/digitizer. Apple iPhone SE 2 (iPhone 9) said to enter mass production in February, launch in March

Back in 2016, Apple launched the compact iPhone SE with iPhone 5s-like design, earlier reports said that the iPhone SE 2 will launch in Q1 2020, and recently renders of the smartphone surfaced. Now a new report from Bloomberg says that the lower-cost iPhone model will go into production as early as next month, and launch in March. According earlier reports, the phone will feature a 4.7-inch LCD display with no-notch and is said to measure 138.5 x 67.4 x 7.8 mm in size and 8.6mm including the rear camera bump. While the form factor of the iPhone SE 2 is said to be similar to the iPhone 8, SE 2 is said to sport a frosted glass back instead of a glossy back that was present on the iPhone 8. The phone is said to sport a single rear camera and the Touch ID is said to make a return. It is expected to be powered by Apple’s A13 Bionic processor with 3GB RAM and pack a larger battery. Samsung has launched Curd Maestro Refrigerator, which the company claims is the world’s first refrigerator that helps you make curd. “National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) has tested and recommended the process of curd making in Samsung’s Curd Maestro”, said the company. Curd Maestro enables curd preparation in five to six hours — five hours for soft curd, six hours for thick curd. One needs to boil and cool the milk and mix the curd culture manually, while Curd Maestro does the most crucial part of the job — fermentation. It will not only ferment the curd but will store it too. Samsung says that Curd Maestro makes curd with the same consistency each time and eliminates all the hassle of curd making in different weather conditions. Xiaomi and Samsung continue to lead India smartphone market as realme declines in Q4 2019

The festive season during Q4 2019 saw smartphone market share grow for all major smartphone companies with the exception of realme, which saw a significant loss in market share once it peaked during the month of September with 16.74% market share, according to the latest IDC report. Being an online-heavy brand, realme saw a huge boost of sales and market share during the festive September month of 2019. They released a lot of new models, many in the premium budget category with competitive prices. But soon after, it saw its market dip plunge to 9.33% and 8.23% in October and November respectively as its online sales died down. Xiaomi continued to grow its market share (up to 30.42%) during the quarter with strong sales of its Redmi Note 8 series in India. A Xiaomi spokesperson told Economic Times that over a million Redmi Note 8 series smartphones were sold within just a month of its launch.
