Microsoft releases Chromium-based Edge browser for Windows and macOS

Microsoft has released updated Edge browser based on Chromium for all Windows and macOS users, months after the preview. Microsoft says that this offers world-class performance with more privacy, including tracking prevention, which is on by default, and provides three levels of control while you browse,  option to choose a new tab page layout or design, and select the types of news. Other features include AAD support, Internet Explorer mode, 4K streaming, Dolby audio, inking in PDF, Microsoft Search in Bing integration, support for Chrome-based extensions, and more. Windows or MacOS users can download Microsoft Edge 79 stable manually, or Windows users can wait for it to be automatically released via Windows Update in the coming weeks.  When you install Microsoft Edge on an up-to-date Windows 10 device, it will replace the previous (legacy) version. Your favorites, passwords, and basic settings will carry over to the new Microsoft Edge automatically. Web apps (including those built on EdgeHTML), and Microsoft Edge preview channels (such as Dev or Canary) will continue to work without interruption. Microsoft Edge 80 will enter the Beta channel soon, and is expected to release to Stable in February. Source

Xiaomi launches Mi Portable Wireless Mouse in India for Rs. 499

After teasers Xiaomi has launched Mi Portable Wireless Mouse, the company's first Laptop/PC accessory in India. The mouse has an ABS plastic light-weight body at just 70 grams (without the battery), features an ergonomic design for comfortable usage, comes with primary photoelectric sensor and has 1200 DPI for rapid and accurate mouse movement, but it doesn't feature DPI adjustment. It has been tested to last up to 3 million clicks says the company. The mouse has a 2.4GHz dongle for wireless connectivity to laptop or PCs and takes in 1 AA battery that can be easily inserted after removing the bottom part of the mouse. It also has a quick on/off switch so that you can save the battery when you are not using the mouse. The Mi Portable Wireless Mouse comes in Black and White colors, is priced at Rs. 499 and is available from mi.com.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 update will roll out mid-February, confirms company

Xiaomi introduced the Android One series of smartphones in collaboration with Google back in September 2017, the Android One program guarantees a couple of Android version updates with regular security patch updates. Xiaomi has been releasing a new Android One device with a focus on cameras and design every year since 2017, and as a result, we have Mi A1, Mi A2, and Mi A3 under the Android One program from Xiaomi. Xiaomi launched the Mi A3 in India back in August and said it will be amongst the first devices to receive Android 10 update. Its been more than 4 months since Android 10 was released but Xiaomi's Mi A3 which is an Android One device is yet to receive the Android 10 update. To remind, the company has already rolled out Android 10 based MIUI update to Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Mi 9 and Mi 8. Microsoft Launcher Preview brings new UI, Dark Mode, Landscape Mode and various Performance Improvements

Microsoft introduced the Microsoft Launcher for Android back in 2017 and kept introducing new features such as Theme Support, Cortana Integration, Screen Time, and Cricket Score widget. Now, Microsoft Launcher preview app brings Dark Mode and Landscape Mode along with a new user interface to Microsoft Launcher. Black Shark 3 with 120Hz Quad HD+ display surfaces

Last year Black Shark announced the Black Shark 2 and Black Shark 2 Pro, now a prototype of upcoming Black Shark smartphone has surfaced revealing its 120Hz display with option to switch between 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz Quad HD or 2K resolution with option to change to 1080p resolution. We still don't have any other specifications of the phone or how it will look, but it should be powered by Snapdragon 865, improved cooling mechanism, better cameras, bigger battery so that the phone should offer better battery life even when you use it with higher refresh rates. The Black Shark 3 is expected to be introduced sometime in mid-2020. Earlier this week OnePlus confirmed that its next flagship will feature 120Hz Quad HD+ AMOLED screen.
