Airtel Wi-Fi Calling launched in more circles, now supports more devices, works on non-Airtel broadband connection

Last month Airtel rolled out Voice over Wi-Fi services officially starting from Delhi NCR, later it expanded to Mumbai, Kolkata,Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Today the company has launched Wi-Fi Calling in Kerala, Gujarat, UP (West), Maharashtra, UP (East), Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Previously it was compatible only with Airtel Xstream Fiber home broadband, now it works with all broadband services and Wi-Fi hotspots, even though the site still says it works only on Airtel broadband. It has also expanded the number of supported devices. Airtel Wi-Fi Calling leverages cutting edge technology to enhance the indoor voice calling experience for Airtel smartphone customers. The innovative service uses WiFi networks to create a dedicated channel for voice calls and allows customers to make telco grade calls to any network. Lenovo announces Legion Y740S its thinnest ever gaming laptop, eGPU enclosure, gaming monitors and more at CES 2020

Legion, Lenovo's line of gaming focused products has made a few announcements at CES 2020. These include their thinnest ever Legion Gaming laptop called the Legion 740s, their external GPU enclosure called the Legion Booststation, a 240Hz Legion gaming monitor and bunch other peripherals like keyboards and mice. Lenovo has introduced its thinnest gaming as of yet with an interesting quirk, it has no GPU. That is right, the Lenovo Legion Y740S is their newest addition to the Legion brand of gaming laptops and it only comes with an integrated GPU onboard. So how do you game on it? Realme 2 Pro gets dark mode quick switch toggle, January Android Security Patch in the latest update

realme launched the Realme 2 Pro smartphone in India running ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and updated it to Android 9.0 (Pie) based ColorOS 6 back in June. ColorOS 6.0 brought several features such as Chroma Boost Mode and Camera2 API support to the device. Recently, the company rolled outrolled out an update that brought system-wide Dark Mode, redesigned notification panel and realme laboratory to the realme 2 Pro. Now, realme has started rolling out RMX1801EX_11_C.26 update with latest January 2020 Android security patch. The update weighs  around 643 MBs in size and brings a dark mode quick switch toggle in the notification panel along with the flash on call feature. Redmi Note 8 Pro gets a new Twilight Orange color variant

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone last year in Gamma Green, Halo White and Shadow Black colors, and the Electric Blue version of the phone went on sale later. Today it has introduced new Twilight Orange color variant of the phone in China. It has also introduced Red color version of the Redmi 8 in China, which is already available in India. Realme announces realme UI beta testing for realme X2

realme CEO, Madhav Sheth confirmed the existence of realme UI back in October last year and said that it will offer a near-stock Android experience, since then there have been lots of speculation about realme UI. The company finally announced the realme UI rollout schedule back in November and shared a few images to give users an idea of what's coming their way. The company started recruiting realme UI Beta testers for realme XT and realme X2 Pro back in November, and as per some leaks, realme UI beta testing has already kicked off for realme X2 Pro. Now, the company is looking for testers who have experience in beta testing of software and reporting bugs. Reliance Jio starts rolling out VoWiFi service in Delhi and Chennai

Recently, Airtel started testing WiFi Calling (VoWiFi) in several cities in India and later officially launched the service. Following Airtel's launch, Reliance Jio has now started rolling out WiFi Calling facility in Chennai and Delhi-NCR. This comes after the testing began in Delhi recently. The company is yet to launch the VoWiFi services in the country officially. Several users in Chennai have reported that they are seeing 'Jio WiFi' icon or a similar WiFi Calling icon on their smartphones. We have tested the same on some smartphones and found the service to be working great. More specifically, we tried Jio WiFi Calling on a Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone, K20 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M30 smartphones, and it worked as expected. Unlike Airtel, Reliance Jio's Wi-Fi Calling facility is not restricted to Jio Fiber and is working on any Wi-Fi network, as of now.
